A while ago I was woken up to a guy banging on my door accusing me of stealing his money from a drug deal.(note to self keep some clothing near your bed or invest in a robe for such early wake up calls). He realized it wasn't me apologies for waking me up and let's me go back to sleep.
Today the same guy comes back and asks to come in and talk about it, tell him no thinking of every excuse I can think of to keep him outside. Near the end of the conversation he asks if I want to go for a drink. I'm thinking mate earlier you woke me up at 0600 and acussed me of stealing your money and now you tell me your I.D. also. I need to put shoes on I don't know you from a bar of soap. There is no way in hell that you are coming inside.
If he met me on the street I might of gone to a pub with him for a soft drink (can't drink), but he blew all he's chances earlier. I don't no where my sexuality lies at the moment but he was attractive. So if it was a genuine attempt to pick me up at least I know someone sees me as someone to try and hit on. Do guys always push this hard with girls?
I think I'd put a big red flag on that one

Gypsy is shaken and stirred and has given her mobile number to two of her neighbors (both where the only two here). In case this guy comes back.

Funny, now called the police hot line unfortunately I have to go to the local station I can't do this over the phone. I have to go outside yay me (sarcasm).

Just spoke to a constable who told me. They couldn't do much as they don't know who he is and next time he I see him and he is at my door to call 000 (emergency) if I feel threatened. I was told that I was pretty switched on for not letting him in and that the whole drug thing might of been a ruse for something else.
I was advised to have my mobile on me when I answer the door and let my neighbors know what happened in case he tries this with anyone else.
Yeah, that's really, really scary. Avoid this lunatic at all costs.
When you call 000 they ask a few questions and if the person is armed I always make it ambiguous saying ( for example "they're close around outside like on my lawn out the front door I think they may be intoxicated and I think they're holding something can't tell what it is...." I know enforcement people and I have once said gun and had within 5 mins police at my front door. Of course because I was held at gunpoint...he was in the house trying to come out the front door as I came in
Good escape Gypsy. You did well to give your details to neighbours and to let the police know.
His behaviour was probably more drunken/opportunistic than anything else, but no less dangerous or frightening for that.
Just be very careful and don't take any undue risks right now.
