So i just realized that most women seem to start off on estradiol or some variant and then go into spiro or the variants. my endo put me on both at once. should i be concerned? i know this is a little late cuz its been 10 months lol. anyways as i said just something i noticed. have a good day!

You are ok.
Normal hrt always started off low doses of both for a good feminising regimen.
Just doctors have been now experimenting on patients with different ideas of hrt.
If you are seeing a doctor and that is there regimen its all good.
I got put on both, but I had been self medding off and on with just E prior. One factor that got me on both was that she needed to see how spiro would work in conjunction with my other blood pressure meds.
Your fine. that is pretty normal girl. :)
I started out on full doses of both E and Spiro, and HRT has definitely been very kind to me, so yeah, nothing to worry about.
I also have friends who started off on almost nothing, on low-dose E alone for months, then low-dose Spiro, and it took like 2 years for them to get their hormone levels into the female range, and yet they feminized just fine, so seriously, I don't think it really matters that much, I think it's all down to doctor preference.
I dealt with some nasty mood swings in the first couple of months that my friends didn't get due to the rapid change in hormone levels, which is probably why a lot of doctors like to ease into it, but it worked out.
I was started on E, but that was for about six weeks - after that it was onto Spiro as well. I think he wanted to see if the E would knock out most of my T which apparently it did. I think endos just have their own way of doing things and presumably it is guided by what is going on with the patient too.
