I'm a science nut so I have a split decision, either the original 'Thing from another world or the original ' The Day the Earth Stood Still"

I'd like to add that what got me interested in mathematics was when I first saw Klaatu fix the scientists formula on the blackboard.
"Casablanca" hands down. It's just so perfect. The characters, the intrigue, the romance, the humor, the music are all just so... perfect.
And it has such perfect dialogue, such as...
Casablanca (1942)
Ilsa: Who is Rick?
"Well, Rick is the kind of man that... well, if I were a woman, and I were not around, I should be in love with Rick. But what a fool I am talking to a beautiful woman about another man."
That was definitely a great movie. The only problem I had with The Thing from another world was that it could of been a little longer.

Blazing Saddles. It's hilarious, very politically aware, and both a send-up of, and an homage to, the whole movie industry. (The scene at the end in which the fight spills over onto the rest of the movie lot... soooo postmodern.
