Hi. So after using estrogen patches fo 6 months, I decided itd be best to switch to injectable estradiol. So my doctor prescribed it to me along with syringes. I get to my pharmacy and the pharmacist proceeds to tell me injectable estradiol is no longer in production and Ill have to get a NEW prescription for oral estradiol. Can someone shed some light on this matter because I really feel something isnt right here.
I wish I had more info, but this same thing happened to me today when I requested injectable--they said nobody is making it. Trying gel.
My understanding is that the 10 mg/1ml concentration of estradiol valerate is out of production but there are other concentrations available. You may have better luck at a compounding pharmacy.
I get del-estrogen from Walgreens. I just did a refill last week. The concentration is 40 mg/ml.
Last I heard only 20 mg/mL and 40 mg/mL is being produced with the exception of some compounding pharmacies are still making 10 mg/mL.
Just a quick interjection and reminder of site policy.
Concentration is okay to discuss, just please make sure to not mention amounts/dosages. Everything here has been fine so far, just a friendly reminder.
That is all, please do pass go and collect $200! :police:
