Title: Can estradiol valerate pills taken sublingually lower testosterone?
Post by: fefi on January 09, 2015, 04:58:03 PM
Hi eveybody, I'm new on this forum, which I find really interesting!!! I've got a doubt, any of you has experienced taken estradiol valerate pills sublingually? I do not care about levels, but in theory, taking the pills in this way, estradiol goes directly into the bloodstream, it avoids the first pass through the liver and conversion to estrone!!!! But in this way, is it possible to rise shbg the same as if it was taken orally? I started my transition 8 years ago and I don' t want to take more AA because now I'm feeling severe risks from taking them!!! My testo is very low, so I 'd like to try only estrogens, at a high dosage of course!!!! So, is it better to take my pills all at once, or split into doses during the day? May I get a better feminization sublingually vs oral? Two years ago I took estrofem, which is estradiol hemihydrate, and I felt really better, fat redistribution, skin, but in my country estrofem was discontinued!!! So the only option here in pills is estradiol valerate, but I do not feel the same!!! Any advice? I've read in this forum that many girls have reached good feminization only On estrogens without AA!!!! I'm under supervision of my endo, and every 6 months I make my blood test!!! I'd like to hear your opinions!!! And maybe any can help me with my doubts explained here!!!! Thanks!!!!

My doctor told me to definitely take them sublingually.

It is easier on the liver and it produces higher estrogen blood levels. The only real downside is that it creates a spike of estrogen that dissipates faster than a pill taken orally.

And if you are not being monitored it is a great way to get a DVT, pulmonary embolism or a stroke. Any which can have a permanent effect on transitioning.

Go see a Doc and do it right.

Buccal,or in the top lip right up,just before bed it takes almost half the night to dissolve. If I wake up and want something to eat it doesn't move ,or if I want to drink it doesn't get affected either.
