Good gosh girl, that's astounding!
Thank you Ms Grace, a good friend said he used to feel safe when around me.. like he had a personal bouncer.. I lifted weights three times a week..
Arms are 12 inches now.. yea :)
Wow that's awesome. Gives me inspiration.
Added a pic Dr Z took day before surgery....
Keri
Wow! You've come a long way! Congratulations!!
thats staggering you look 20 years younger!!
OMG, it's a miracle! :) Looks great!
Thanks Girls,
I was one of those who should have been calling the suicide hotline a Sept 2013 and chose to get therapy and glad I did.
Honestly, never thought I would be full time in a year..
I started HRT just to try to settle the GID down and stay presenting male... someone on the forum called me out on that and said once on HRT I may not be able to stop ... and she was so right... It was right for me... for sure.
It does feel like a miracle and I am so happy to be my true self...
I hope to help others in the future and make some kind of difference.
I appreciate Susan's site and all of you that have encouraged me and helped me... I hope I can return the favors..
Keri :)
Keri, you look beautiful. I am very happy for you. I agree, you look 20 years younger.
that's a pretty big 180 from the earliest pic
Wow! You look amazing, what a dramatic change.
I'm so happy for you! :)
Wow. That is huge. You must be over the moon. Very happy for you.
Hi Cynthia and girls.... I am actually 55 years old...
So for you to say I look like I am in my 30's makes me feel so good.
As soon as I heal up will post pics after my hair extensions and makeover on February 28th.
That should be an interesting day..
Love you all
Keri

Wow, just wow :) And You look like a young woman indeed :).
Ahhh I can't wait to see your results in another month when more swelling fades!!!
Thanks Emily...
Lauren, thanks so much... I am looking forward to that too.. also ready to start working out again but Dr. Z said not for two more weeks! Ugh,
Keri
Keri, you look great!
Even before your FFS too.
OMG! I have some hope now! I just started figuring things out about a month ago. I turn 61 in June. 'She' inside is still just a flouncy teen/pre-teen, with no name of her own. I always bordered a bit in appearance, but def believe Im showing my age and gender these days, and part of my despair has been over having taken so long that I could never now be more than 'old guy pretending'. But, maybe, just maybe....
JayEm,
Well, Keri finally took over and I have not looked back.. I shed a lot of tears on this journey.. but a good therapist... and a positive attitude helps. 61, no big deal... being you can be an amazing thing.. If I got hit and killed in a car accident in a year I would be happy that I did it and lived as me even if it was just a short time... however, I expect to look good for a long time and life is starting over and that gives me energy to do something good for others..
ImagineKate,
Thank you... my first love and now just girl friend liked me as I was and now she say's, hell my old boyfriend looks better than me! We broke up in 1982 and did not become friends again until this year.. :)
Life can be so ironic.. and wonderful when we are real with others. It also shows us who is being real with us.. thats why I feel blessed.. Love the ones who stuck with me more than ever.. Humans are so awesome.. I love diversity..
Keri
Wow you look amazing Carrie! From that bouncer rough and tumble looking dude to now? Simply outstanding.
I also can't wait to see the final result after the swelling and bruising subsides - I think that you'll look really good.
And yes, HRT is the magic that lets our minds function the way they were intended to and lets us live a fulfilling life. I got the very same warning when I started on low dose HRT (my intent was only to to calm my dysphoria), and dang if I didn't wind up transitioning!

Hi Carrie Those are some Impressive results to be sure :o Congrats ;D
My date with Dr S is 2/24 and your results have me excited, I hope I look as good as you do three weeks out ;)
Can I ask what you had done???
I have a real cro magnon brow, I consulted with Dr Z and I really liked him but I was just afraid he wouldnt be aggressive enough there... Also he wanted to do my jaw and Masseter muscles and I decided against that... Dr Mayer and Dr S said I dont need jaw work... My friends and familly say I dont need anything but they support my decision... I go back and forth on the jaw but on only 9 months of HRT Ive already seen dramatic changes to my jaw muscles and I think Im doing enough already in one operation.... The recovery from jaw work sounds brutal as well....
Im doing the brow reconstruction, scalp advancement/brow lift, nose, lip lift/augment, chin reduction/contour, trach shave and a full face and neck lift...
Again your results are awesome and Im really getting excited about my own date, your an inspiration Sis 8)
Thank you Carrie, you have given me hope. I am 44 and I look nothing like I feel inside. It was so bad that on Dec 12th I left work early to end it all. By the grace of God my wife got a hold of me and talked me down. I start my therapy this week. I am very scared but I no longer want to hide behind my mask. Thank you for your courage.
Eva
I had everything you mentioned done.. he took fat from my belly for my cheeks and lips.. and on purpose does about 30% more than needed but that goes away after 60 months and rest stays.
Good luck with your surgery.. first week pretty tough.. at 4 weeks now I am back to normal energy and feel great!
BTW I was going to do it with Dr S Feb 22nd .. and had planned to see fleetwood mac front row and center March 12th. One reason I took an early date with Dr Z.
I would not been ready for that concert after three weeks...
Make sure you ask for best pain meds he can give you.. Don't be afraid to ask for stronger meds so you can stay comfy as possible.
It was so funny trying to eat stuff with a spoon but when you get hungry enough.. you find a way..... :)

Kellizgirl,
OMG don't ever do it. I tried a couple times.. Life is too wonderful regardless so please PM me if you ever need to talk.
Therapy, the key to my success .. I can't stress enough how much it helped me.
I prefer female therapists.
My first one was in a different city and i thought she was great but the one I found closer to home... I love dearly and she is amazing so if at any time you feel like you are not getting what you want or need talk to others in the trans community in your area and find a new one..
I used to be an athlete and I lost a lot of weight and worked hard to get to the point I am at..
Try to enjoy the process..
My new stress now is being full time because I look like a chick period.. but my voice is not there...
Its a lot of work but worth it...
So sorry I just saw your post.. I have been very busy with work
Love
Keri
