Where I live, electrologists are few and far between. I've consulted with one, but she's booked up almost entirely with existing clients and would only be able to fit me in on an occasional basis when she has cancellations. She's very local though. The other might have slightly more availability, but she's also very full. (Either that or they're both not trans-friendly.)
Would it be bad form to use both as and when they have time, hoping to cobble together something like a once- or twice-weekly schedule if I'm lucky? Or are electrologists territorial creatures who wouldn't want to share the task of a beard removal job with anyone else once they've started?
They probably are very territorial creatures, lol ;D
As one may nit have the same jethod, technique, etc then the other.
But you masy ask them lol

Funny you ask. I just began using two electrologists. The situation is slightly different. The one I've been using is further to travel, but she has a lot of experience with trans women. The closer one is much easier to get to, so I can see her more often. She seems to have no problem with my see two electrologists. My previous one, however, made me promise I'd leave her parts of my face that will be hers alone because she won't work in a place that another electrologist worked recently. Basically she doesn't want to be blamed for what another practitioner does wrong.
I've decided I need to speed up this process, so I will be using two of them. We'll see how it goes, but ultimately they work for me, and if they want that to continue, they need to allow me to do what I need to do.
I know my electro is usually unimpressed by other electros! I wouldn't know if they are territorial unless the turf war is over the same clients. They probably are both full, I make bookings with my electro for sessions months in advance so I don't miss a spot. You might find if you go with the local one you will become a regular in time. You might want to check if she is trans friendly though.
I've utilized Dr. Z's tie-in electro service, About You Hair Removal. They do sedated electro in large amounts--I've had two 30 hour (over 4 days) sessions and my facial hair has been reduced about 70%. The owner is a transwoman too, and it is a fantastic service.
Not sure how close you are looking, But i use Kelly out of chicago every two weeks for an hour for the past 6months and most of my hair is dead. Pretty much fine tuning at this point. So not sure how multiple times a week might benifit you. But good luck! Also, i had to drive two hours away to find anyone who would work on me. Yay midwest ><
