I'm curious to those of us who have been on hrt for at least 2 years or more, how full and mature did your breasts get? Like did you get the mound on mound and if you did were you on Progesterone?
cited from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tanner_scale#Breasts_.28female.29
(Tanner IV
increased breast size and elevation; areola and papilla form a secondary mound projecting from the contour of the surrounding breast)
I was starting to think it had been too long since we had a boob thread, and now several at once! ;)
Anyway, I'll let you know in six months when I hit two years. While I rarely pay attention to the Tanner Scale I'd say I was at fourish.
7 years on mone's including progesterone normal tanner 5 growth. There are some who say progesterone doesn't do anything I myself would have to disagree. 38c as of right now
Are you sure you want to hit full maturity. It after all 5 stages CIS women get breast droppage and its seems as if you were in stage three that might be where you want to stay. Along the lines of a 16 year old girl. To me that shape has always been the most attractive and as one who loves and appreciates the female body, I can say I love that stage. I had no idea there were different stages until I read the articles on the Tanner scale. But I realize thats about where I would want to be. Of course it would nice to hit that 4th and 5th stage but at what cost?
At some point gravity will effect us all.l
I agree with you Myka cause I mean thats how cis women reach breast maturity. Thanks to the progesterone that is released in the menstrual cycle once it begins and plus cis women start producing estrogen pre-puberty in very small amounts that end up creating the first breast bud. So cis women in general have had breast development going on for a long time, a few years on hrt is like nothing in comparison. That's why I'm quite happy where I' am with my breast growth. Mine are small 32a/b but they're are looking proportional to my chest and I got the second mound last year but they're still rounding out in this new phase, like I have that natural S curve to them. I've been on Progesterone since the start of hrt. I wonder what mine will look like in 10 years *goes off into a day dream lol

Yes I do want to hit full maturity because having small teenage boobs was really weird honestly and during that phase they just looked awkward on my body. Like I said in an earlier post, I'm quite happy with my boobs now because they're finally matching my age in terms of maturity. I still have small boobs they're just much more rounder and still perky too. Sagging/droopage is a part of having breasts so it comes with the territory*shrugs, when that will happen to mine is super far in the future either way. What do you mean by at what cost?

Hehe boob threads are the best! I wish there was an anonymous post your boob site for us trans women so we could see the differences and how ours grow. Like websites exists like that for cis women to help normalize the image boobs.
Wird. According to that wiki page I always been Tanner II o.o. Not sure if that will be of any better in the future but, well, funny facts are funny :D.
The tanner stage can't be applied to everyone though, its just a general reference.
The most I was able to achieve from HRT was stage 3, so I decided to have breast augmentation.

I was researching this the other day and did come across a site with pictures but most of it was discourging and I believe out dated.
After a long, long time, have achieved B cup (34 B) I do still get a little mounding of the Areola (which has still never really enlarged).
Also some days they are a little more 'pointy' than other days; maybe its due to wearing a Bra some days and not other days, nipples never grew much, but always erect....
Last 5 years or so on Progesterone too, however, just recently had dosage increased... so maybe last kick in ??
Not sure whether I would go for Augmentation, other things are a little more a higher priority ;)

5+ years on HRT, and I cycled through the Tanner stages II-IV several times during the growth phases. I'm now more or less Tanner V and have been for at least a year; still some slight increase in size from what I assume is fat depositing, but mostly fully mature. (Low dose E only, no AA or progesterone.)
I know it's been discussed before in past threads but I'd like to get a sense again from those that had multiple years of breast growth what the rate of growth was roughly in each year. I've gotten to somewhere around 34B I think after a little over a year on Estrace. Did the pace for you gals slow down a lot after the first year? I'm just wondering what I'm in for if it continues for another four years because I don't really want to get larger than a 34C. Not that I'd be crying if it got larger but smaller and more modest is most attractive to me and best suits my body. I'm more concerned with the shape aesthetic than size. My boobs have been hurting continuously since day one and itching now and then so they certainly aren't done yet.
Violet : It definitely slowed down for me after the first year; I'd say I've only added about a cup size in the subsequent four years. (Though the pace in the first year was extreme - 42A in month 1, 42C in month 4, 42D around 6 months and 42DD at a year.)
My breasts were tanner V at 20 months. However, after I had an orchi, they changed some and got even bigger. Totally indistinguishable from a cis- womans. A change from even a couple of months ago.

I am at tanner stage IV at 1 year and 1 month. My US bra size is 36C. I was on progesterone the whole time.

In that first year there was a lot of growth and then it just became gradual after that. For me they haven't really gained in cup size. In fact I technically went down a cup size since my band size ended up changing from a 34 to a 32, due to all the muscle loss from my back after the 2nd year mark thus making them look fuller. At the same time the aerolas have matured steadily after the first year, like they became a lot larger and much darker. They went from a dark shade of pink to a dark brown.
Also my shoulders became a lot smaller too which made a big difference in terms of how tight the bra straps could go. For example now if I wear a 34a, it has to be as tight as possible for them not to slip where as before (like a year into hrt) I would have to keep the straps super loose just to be able to fit in them comfortably.
I love talking about boobs lol
Hmmm, I love my boobs too ;D
After following this topic, kinda feeling that either my starting age, or my endocrine system has short changed me
Certainly shoulder size has decreased, but in defence of my "average ??" boobs, I have also been working on getting my weight down, and keeping to between 64 to 65 Kgs (141 to 143 lbs), guess like a lot of women, breasts get hit first... (well that's what I always heard when talking with them over the years about weight control / loss???)
L Katy :-*
Thanks, girls! It looks like I may have much to look forward to this year in terms of continued change. I'm really eager for muscle-mass loss around the back and shoulders because it will help a lot with the fit of clothing and improving my overall look. It also may very well make my band-size measure less 'screwy' - it never works with the calculators properly and bra fit is purely an educated guess as a result.
Everyone should keep in mind that some women just have kinda pointy boobs anyways. I know that's how my mother was at my age and my looks take after her mostly so there's a good bet I'm getting slightly pointy B's where the shape makes the volume look less obvious. Unless you're going to go around top-less I don't see why it matters much. Just about anything is 'normal' when it comes to breasts.
I'm at a good IV after 2 yrs and some change on oral E.
Been on MPA for a year and boobs grew more since I started taking it.
Will note any change when I switch to injections this spring
Been on estro and spiro for 5 years almost, about stage III I'd say, and it doesn't seem like it will change much, maybe if I got progesterone though it might, barely an A cup and can get away without a bra most of the time.
I have been taking estradiol for two years. Growth has been pretty good but being slightly greedy I'd be good if the girls added another cup size to balance out that I'm a bit tall(6'). It helps that my back muscles are going down. In fact I used to wear 38C but now I wear a 36C.
Nothing like a good boob thread and I figured I'd keep it going a bit longer. :-)
So while I might like things a little bigger, there are some things that make things look pretty good. Fitted t-shirts and turtle necks are definitely on that list.
I'm in a really uncomfortably small III as my second year of HRT comes to an end. I'm still pathetically small...I feel like I've been wasting my time with the hormones, especially with the side effects I had to deal with just to end up with these pathetic little mounds.
CrysC, you look great in your picture, your bra does a great job for you.
according to that site I am a tanner 5, i reached it around my 2 year HRT mark...
At 2+ years on HRT and now 6 months on progesterone, I am a 38A, Tanner IV. I doubt I'll get much more so BA is in my plans for this summer alongside my GCS when I go to Thailand.
At just a little over a year i'm just under a 36A (so close). I use E+P, but no AA. Unfortunately due to my *cough* lifestyle i'll just have to go with what i have. Don't need medical problems from a ruptured boob implant ;D

What have your E levels been running and have you and your doctor discussed progesterone?

Thanks mm! You're a sweetheart! :-)
FrostPixie, if you aren't good with implants you might want to investigate fat transfer if you have any to move. I don't know anybody personally that has done it but it looks promising to add at least a cup size if not two.
As odd as it may sound up untill a few months ago I mostly felt that it was nice having breasts, that I felt so much better about living in my own skin. Then suddenly, like 3 months ago I fell totally in love them, all that they mean, how they make me feel. How great it is to be able to look in a mirror, even totally stark naked and think, I love this bod, even with all the flab and jiggle parts.
I chalk it it to two factors; 1) Progesterone. Life (and boobage) is different with it. 2) Coming out to myself even more with realizing that for my own well being I need to so some sort of transition, likely back to part-time to start with as soon as circumstances can allow it.
