I am excited but nervous. I have been excited up until today when I read on the forums that someone therapist told the they were not trans and then reading these stories of people being told they have to live as a woman for a while before the therapist can help.
I say I go out as a woman now but I am still 196 lbs and very solid built have zero experience with wearing makeup don't even own any, have no outside wear clothes but jeans. And the fact I don't think my wife is ready for that. If I have to start to present as a women first that pushes me back. And I am 39 and be 40 next month so time is not something I have a lot of left.
Guess I need to calm down take by steps and just show up first and then see where it goes from there.

Congrats! I think this is an important step! Going in is the important part. Be honest and let it flow. Your therapist will guide you at first. No dress code. You just need to go from where you are at.
There are no set rules as to how you need to be dressed. I wouldn't sweat that part. Congrats on this big step and good luck. Hugs

Just be yourself. I was trembling with fear. Sat in the car before hand and nearly did not go in, but I did and it is the best thing I could have ever done for myself.

I have applied for an appointment with the GIC, and this is the one thing im afraid of. what if they dont believe me? Id rather die than live one single second more as a male impersonator.
