So today I went to my first ever trans* meeting and first time meeting strangers as Lorenz. The guys at the group were great and let me blather on with my story (I bet they went through the same thing in their time)
At that meeting I
- Got confirmation that it's not all in my head and another totally independant confirmation that I could be intersex (Wow, who knew)
- Got two new FB friends and promises of more to come
- Got info relating to what endo to see and why, and why I might NOT need to see a psych until later (intersexed = maybe fast-track???)
- learned about a book I should read
- Learned about a website that lets you track your own bloodwork (as long as you register within 10 days of a test)
- Was totally relaxed and myself
All In All, I'd say was an awesome day and I really don't know how the heck I waited so long! (To bash a WAY over used cliche... hahaha)
Cant really relate to going to a group, but i can relate to being yourself in a new enviorment.
when i was hospitalized i was being called my chosen name, (something that just dosnt happen at home) and the whole time i felt great, reasonns for the hospitalization put aside of course.
