My friend needed a sudden ride to work for a meeting. I had no time to get ready just threw on a jacket, hat, sunglasses, scarf and headed out. I ran into the grocery store to grap some coffee and milk.. well I am all smiles ;D now because the clerk lady said, "would you like your receipt ma'am " :o
I even talked to her before she said that, I kept my voice quiet but I had asked if the milk was on sale. Apparently I did not sound like a guy, thats good!!
YAY!!!!!
I just had to tell someone, so I am telling you all, hehe. I totally did not expect it, and my painted nails were covered under my gloves too. No makeup, guy sunglasses ... haha I feel so good now! :D

Congrats! I would like for someone to say ma'am to me while I'm out. My face looks far too male right now even with makeup :(
It is a good feeling, huh? :icon_dance: I get ma'amed more and more myself. I am approaching "male fail" and some people can't figure me out.
me at a store asking an employee "Excuse me..."
employee: "How can I help you ma..uh..su..uh"
I am not full time yet and wear regular guy jeans and regular guy shirts. :icon_joy:
That's so great Jade! I'm so happy for you. ^_^
I live in a smaller town, so it tends to be hit and miss for me. Especially because I'm pretty well-know in certain circles, and they're still getting used to the real me. When it does happen, it's such a wonderful feeling. ;D
I went home to visit family over Christmas, which involved flying. I've never been great with airports, they really stress me out. What with being full-time now (and earlyish in my transition), I was pretty paranoid about dealing with airport security/staff. I didn't want to have to deal with awkward questions about my IDs not matching yet. Turns out I had absolutely nothing to worry about! The short time I dealt with any airport staff, I lost count of how many times I got called miss/ma'am and even madame. Everyone was very polite, no rude comments or anything. Made what I worried was going to be an unbearable trip MUCH nicer. ^_^
