I am hoping to start HRT in month or so , I have not talked to the endo yet. I do have question that people here may be able to answer for me. I had/have varicose veins in one of my legs I have partial paralysis in my left leg so some of my calf muscles are atrophied. The calf muscles help to pump the blood back up your legs, since this wasn't working well I needed to have the valves sealed in a vein in my leg. Will they still allow me to go on HRT with this problem? If I cant I really don't know what I will do I am afraid I will slip back into depression .
Hi Stevie
Sorry to hear about that. You should definitely talk to an endo, and if the first one tells you no I wouldn't give up there. Sometimes a second opinion can be a life saver.
I am not a doctor but they may allow it but start you on a low dose and monitor you closely.
I have a few health issues such as diabetes and high blood pressure and they still let me have HRT.
It helps if your endo does your primary care or works closely with your primary care doc.
