So I'm in my fourth month on T now, almost 5th, and haven't noticed any changes at all about my chest size, and I don't know if I should have any expectations regarding if these two annoying things are ever going to shrink or not due to T before my top-surgery. (FYI I don't know my cup size but I'd say they're small or small-average). Are they supposed to always get smaller when on T like I've heard (and if so, when?), or should I just accept that for a few people this doesn't happen and I am one of them?
The regular fat might leave but the milk making parts are there until they are cut out.
I'm on my 10th week of t and honestly what happened to me was that only 1 side shrunk from a large B to a small B. My other side is still a large C. Makes binding very awkward, but my tritop does hide it. I did have some fat leave and the do hang lower, I can also see/feel the muscles underneath. I'm planning for top surgery this year as I cannot and will not wait any longer. These things are just too annoying.
Some people actually get larger because of an increase in muscle.
I'm also about 4 and a half months, and if anything, all that's happened is they're slightly squishier and shaped slightly differently. But definitely not a decrease in size. I am about a 32A.
my chest itself probly went down a size, but T helped me gain more muscle and become broader, so my binder size actually went up cause of it, even though my chest got smaller
my endo told me it doesn't actually make your chest smaller, but the tissue softens.
(this is why some surgeons want you to wait before getting top surgery. softer tissue = easier surgery)
My chest size stayed the same but before T they where hard as hell making it hard to bind properly. They became softer after a couple of months and then I had surgery after about 5 months on T so I don't know if it might would have progressed and they would have become smaller in time.
Mine got wayyy smaller. I used to be an E or an F cup (gah, it was the worst) but they've gone down to maybe a B. I have to say I didn't really realize how dramatically they'd gone down until around month 8.
Also, I lost weight on T, so that might have helped things along....
Some people's body shapes respond more quickly to T than others, so hold out for a bit, maybe it just needs more time to happen! Also it might be different for you because you are more small chested (I was large chested so there was more excess....so it might be kind of like how overweight people lose weight faster than normal weight people). That's just speculation though.
Thanks everyone for your replies! Hmm so what should I expect then? I'm not clear on that, it seems that some people do get smaller, others don't. Some have them "softer" (I think this happened to me as well? I do feel like binding has become easier than pre-T, but no size difference). I'll try to wait and see, but honestly I'm quite disappointed as I thought this was supposed to almost always happen to an extent, and maybe you're right and since I'm more small-chested the changes will be more slowly for me or just won't happen at all. Sigh.
