What about marijuana?
Admin Note: I split this topic off of the smoking topic as that's a good for discussion and this off topic addition to the thread closed it down.

Drug abuse is drug abuse, to be honest you are better off not smoking anything. It is a prop to 'help' you cope. The best way of coping? Deal with your life issues and be happy, naturally.
This from an alcoholic, ex druggie and one time prostitute, who lives her life with a smile and enjoyment.
Marijuana isn't a drug, it is a plant and I do not rely on it daily. But thank you for your response.

Hugs,
Its a drug and I can list the pharmacological components if you wish
The Poppy is a cute flower as well, but Heroin isn't a lot of fun
Tobacco is a nice plant as well
Atropa belladonna is a nice flower, but you will never smoke it twice.
Just saying.
I was simply asking if marijuana has the same negative effects on HRT as cigarettes. I didn't ask for a lecture on "drug" abuse. Everyone has different reasons to smoke and you have absolutely no right to call out on anyone for it, especially if it's legal where I am. I only use it when I can't sleep and it's way safer than taking sleeping pills by pharmacy companies who are only concerned about your money- people die from overdosing on prescription drugs daily. Can you even find ONE article on someone who overdosed on marijuana with a reliable source?
Again, when someone simply asks if marijuana has the same effects on HRT as tobacco, you don't bring up coping bull->-bleeped-<- because I don't use it to cope on issues at all.

I was merely correcting your misconceptions. I think you protest too loudly.

Thank you, I believe that is the first smite I have received. Of course anyone may smite me, it is a members privilege. Possibly an unusual one to practice but your choice is your choice.
I shall not remove it, although I have that capability, nor shall I respond in kind. It would lower me as a woman who I am proud to be. I shall allow Susan to review my posts and she can make her decision on my actions.
I wish you well and hope that you have a wonderful life. But sadly unless you find a way to deal with your inner anger, I think that will be difficult to achieve
My love to you

You have a wonderful life too :)
I'd be interested about the marijuana effects too as I cannot find information. Maybe to be taken orally (but that's gross!) or through a vaporizer? I understand much/most of the harm comes from smoke inhalation, and would not be surprised if just the smoke caused a lot of the harmful effect to avoid. I know for sure it harms tissue healing and puts pressure on the circulatory system, making it less effective. Not sure about the estrogen receptors though.
Before I get some undeserved comments on drug abuse, I'll just mention marijuana as being option A prescribed by the neurologist.
I'm locking this thread as it discusses drug abuse which is against ToS.
A clarification. Only Admin can remove smites, before Nero's death I was not Admin. I would rather Nero be alive than me being Admin, he was my brother. I miss him so much.
I can remove smites to me, and I can, and do ban people from the site if they break the rules or insult staff. Indeed if anyone insults a member of my staff my wrath is absolute. My staff work like hell for nothing, they work none stop to keep you and all members safe. They do so tirelessly, I watch them break, I love them and support them. I try to protect them.
I will not, nor should I protect myself. I have a boss that I answer too. Her name is Susan. It is her site. I answer to no one else here.
You have a problem with me report me to Susan.
Thank you
Cindy.
I use to do weed, LSD, MDA just about anything anyone would hand me. It took me 10 years of psychotherapy to stabilize my brain. Just a cautionary note on drug use.

I removed it.
It was totally uncalled for. Urban Christina engaged in a smite war then attempted to hide it under a flood of reputation. All reputation she issued today has been removed. She was also sending abusive pms to members. She is banned for 30 days for violations of TOS 2, 5, and 10. She also loses the ability to issue reputation, and send pm's.
I also banned Little R for 7 days for smiting Cindy for an official actions post. They also lose the ability to issue reputation.
Do not attempt to play games with the TOS and site policies, I will not tolerate it.
Here is the policy on marijuana topics. Until it's no longer illegal to possess and use in the United States; irrespective of it's individual state status; it's a prohibited topic as there are specific web sites you can visit that specialize in that subject. This does not apply to people seeking help for addiction issues.
