Even if I have my male organs completely removed, will I still have to keep taking hormones?
The way I understood it, it's the testicles that produce the testosterone in male-bodied individuals. Once I have mine removed, my body -- if I'm correct -- won't be able to produce any more testosterone. Does that mean this will eliminate the need to keep taking hormones once I have finished my MTF transition?
I recently watched this girl on YouTube who mentioned her body will never produce anymore T unless she starts taking T so she doesn't take hormones anymore.
You will still produce a tiny amount of testosterone in your adrenal glands.
You will still need to take a type of sex hormone whether that be estrogen or testosterone, as without either in adequate amounts eventually you will suffer the effects of osteoporosis.
Yes, Estradiol is forever.
Yes you'll be on a small dose for life. Your body needs sex hormones to maintain things like body temperature and bone density. You will have to stop taking anti androgens however.
I was going to say yes but everyone else got in ahead of me. Even so and despite my natural contrarianism, YES!

FYI: I'm IS.
Ironically for me, even if I choose to "stay male", I'd still need HRT for the rest of my life. So ether way, it's until I die!
