Title: Wanting biological children + Hormones
Post by: MaciXCX on February 04, 2015, 10:48:16 PM
Ok so I am a 14 year old gender-queer male and i want to go on HRT and possibly surgeries to get a more feminized appearance however the only thing stopping me other than coming out my parents is my maternal instinct. I REALLY want to have my own children. I want to be able to pass on my genes and get those children to pass on theirs. I've even planned on having 50 children (in case some of them don't want kids, are infertile, or have a disability). I'm really conflicted. Any advice?
I often get depressed because of how manly my shoulders look and get squeamish when i touch my adam's apple. I am blessed with ''child-bearing-ish'' hips, though!

50 kids??? First, slow down sweetie! I would suggest seeing a therapist as a first step. It is the one most of us took and I think the most important. I would work on that first as you will have plenty of time to consider what you want in the future. Therapy is very good for a firm foundation and talks can include possible sperm banking or other methods of preserving a genetic line. I suggest talking with your parents and pursuing therapy first. Take transition one step at a time and don't rush to step #89 right away. You are quite a ways from any possible HRT anyway unless your parents support you fully. Relax, breathe and start at step one. Good luck. :)

50!!! Good God!!! I have 3 and some people think that's too much...

Anyway if you want kids, bank sperm. I hope you brought tons of cash because it aint cheap. I pay $400/year for storage and it's only guaranteed to be viable for 10 years.

My andrologist said the length of time frozen is unimportant.  So it could be unfrozen in 50 years if stored correctly and still be viable.

It is expensive to store sperm though.  I am still contemplating whether to bank a second 'insurance' shot before starting hormones LOL

Is like being financially kicked in the ...
