Is there a difference between the two in terms of how fast changes occur?
nope, there's no difference in speed of change
No. I started out with IM shots, and I found them uncomfortable so I started doing Sub-Q at about 3 months. My levels are perfectly fine, my changes are pretty much average for someone this far along on T, but changes differ for everyone anyway because that's genetics based, not how you inject your testosterone.
I should also mention I'm on cypionate which is directed for "IM use only" but that's not true, obviously. :~)

Same here. I've never done IM and things are coming along fine. The idea that it doesn't work unless injected IM is outdated. There's no incentive for the manufacturers to correct that little nugget of misinformation, either. Why tell people they can have the cheaper option of injections without the discomfort of IM, when they can charge an arm and a leg for creams/gels?
It's been found SubQ is just as effective, sometimes even requiring a lower dose (saving slightly even more money). I know I link this constantly but word of mouth is the only way this outdated "it has to be IM" thing will be countered at all.

I'm on cypionate as well and was confused as to why everything said "IM use only". lol I'm glad I'm with SubQ right now since needles scare the ->-bleeped-<- out of me, so it's great that my shots are pretty much painless when my partner helps me with mine.
