Title: Going through Veteran Affairs for my HRT
Post by: stilldsameJax on February 07, 2015, 06:45:40 PM
Ok so last Tuesday I got my recommendation letter to start T, YAY!! But I know it can get expensive, so I'm using my health care benefits through the VA to cut cost. I was wondering if anyone here has gone through the VA healthcare system for their HRT. If you have how long was the wait to get an appointment with the doctor to start the HRT? I know that the VA system is pretty slow at times because of backlog, but I'm not trying to wait a whole another year. Any help, knowledge, or advice on this would help me immensely.

Hi Jax! (Love that!) VHA Directive 2012-003 is your friend, this link is a pdf file:

Also, have you found our !  Roll Call  (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,96755.0.html) thread?
