Title: Type of Intersex of my partner?
Post by: lietopurify87 on February 08, 2015, 10:25:47 AM
Identifies as female, takes hormones, slight  boyish looks. She never really likes to open up about it but it interests me. I love the girl to death and am simply curious in the subject. I had never heard of it until I begin dating her. I know she has testes inside her, and she has a clitoris, but no clitoral hood, and it is much harder feeling than the clitoris's I have experienced in past relationships. When not aroused it feels like her clitoris is non existent though, when aroused it basically grows like an erection, a very small erection at that lol and is very hard.  Her vaginal canal was made surgically and self dilating is to painful for her, because of this I do not fit inside her. But this has not negatively effected our sex life one bit. The vaginal canal does not self lubricate but the rest of her genitalia does self lubricate which really peaks my curiosity. I understand why her canal does not lubricate since it was surgically made, but wonder how the rest does. She has very little body hair, amazing breasts and her body isnt overly male or female. Before me she mostly only got sexually involved with women and rarely finds males attractive (i got lucky). Anyways... thats about all I can think to provide? questions welcome and thanks to anyone who helps! sorry if I sound silly and ignorant! but thats why I am here! She does not like the topic and I wanna respect that but am very curious!

What I got out of this is she is simply a MtF transgender person. And NO, most of us do not like to talk about it as it is very personal to us. PS-If she does not dilate she will lose most all of her created vagina.

It sounds like Partial Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome (especially if she has internal testicles).

How about realising curiosity killed the cat and respect that it is a topic she doesn't wish to discuss.

I can understand the secrecy.  Intersex, is something not a lot of people like or want to talk about.  For some, their whole life they may have been lied to, or told to lie.  In my case, my pediatrician didn't do their job, and never told my mom something was wrong.  Because of it, I had to learn about it, later in life, but also could have put my health in jeopardy.

I think that's wonderful your trying to learn more.  I would just warn, be care approaching her on what you know.  It could take her time to open up about it.

Best wishes!

Going on some of the stories I've read about botched infant reassignment surgery, you might well have had a very lucky escape!

If a person Identifies as Female, thats what they are, regardless of any genital differences, the brain has a sex too, its gender Identity, sometimes a persons brain will develop female and the genitals go the other direction, we all start out as a quasi Female fetus,  then if the child is going to be a boy, then changes have to happen, some times the changes dont fully take place, and a person is born androgynous, such is life, it may have happened from AIS, Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome,  I am a pre op TS, I knew something was not quite right since the age of 5, but what does a 5 year old know about Gender Identity Disorder, Gender Disphoria,  Androgyny, Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome, and who do you tell it to, who would understand, at the age of 45, I went through Menopause X 10 :) I could not function anymore, my body Chemistry was all messed up, I had to go to a Endocrinologist that specialises with  TG patients, he had to put me on Estrogen, progesterone and testosterone blockers, that worked great for about 5 years, then my breast started to grow out, my butt got bigger, my face became more fem, and my  Deminer  became totally female, and i had to transition full time female, I had a court ordered Name and gender change, finally I am at Peace with myself, but it took Time,  Bottom line is, it does not matter how a person was born, all that matters is that a person has a good heart Condition and is a Loving person, Thats all that matters, I asked a TG person one time how she Ids herself, and I got the best answer that anyone could say, She said that she was Just a Person :) and thats what I say too :) Take care, Chellie

There is still a small chance that I may have had a minor surgery.  I think I might have had glandular hypospadias.  My Mom said that they gave me a small cap, that was in place for quite a while.  Normally, I guess with circumcision, that cap stays on for a week or two tops (no pun intended :-) ).
Even looking at it, something doesn't look right.  I want to try to get my birth records.  Because even if I did have it, it's good to know for the surgeon.

So are you saying you have AIS?

Plus it sounds like she has INTERNAL testes, which means she most likely has CAIS.

Hi :) I said that  Persons may have been born with AIS , and its very possible that I was born with AIS and you could be right that in this case it may be CAIS , Birth Differences do Happen, Nothing a person can do about it, but just accept it as a part of life, and do the best they Can, Thats all I am doing :) Take care, Chellie
