Since I was 6 years old, I had a passion.
I canned my first jar of apricot jam when I was 10.
But I never got to chase my dream as cooking was the domain of women back in 1980s.
Now I'm 49, and loving life and have embraced my passion.
I run my own cooking site.
I can and preserve -nearly 600 jars this year - and sell in farmers markets and online.
I'm a personal chef to a few families and I cater.
Finally, I have a cookbook coming out this year.
In my hometown, I'm known and market myself as The Tattooed Homemaker
Yep, lots of tats on this girl.
Life can start anew.
