How fast did your chest grow when you started HRT? I mean did you measure the bust to see how quickly it has grown.
My chest has grown recently, especially the left side. The right side seems to be filling out somewhat.
If I tried on one of my wife's b-cup bras maybe a year ago the cup would be completely empty but now is almost full. I can still slip 1 finger between the bra and my chest so it isn't completely full yet.
I have become a bit self conscious at work today about my chest if it is starting to be noticeable LOL :embarrassed:
JESUS I havent even started HRT yet and Im getting a chest :o
Not sure if it is the finastride/dutastride that is making the chest swell or if it is my ongoing prolactin issue.
Breast growth is a side effect of finasteride.
The rate of growth on HRT is always a your milage may vary thing. Same as for teen genetic girls going through puberty. Some happen faster than others. You have a head start but that may or may not mean even more growth once you start HRT.
For me, it took maybe 4 months for my bust to reach what should be a C cup, but I am still about a C cup, just they are sooooo much larger now than then, they just are filling out, whereas at 4 months they were little cones. Now my breasts more or less look like normal breasts that other women have which is nice.

Hi Ms Grace, thanks for taking time to respond. Funny thing my chest has been growing steadily since before I started Finastride. Difficult to know how much addition omph the Fin is having. I recently switched to Avodart too.
Hi Hikari - 4 months is no time at all!!! Did you have facial effects by the time your chest had grown? i mean could people tell by your face alone something was up?
I had some tiny mounds of man boobage before I started on HRT. Within the first few weeks I had the knot behind the nipple and the early growing pains. At the time I wore very tightly a 36 band size. My left breast grew faster than my right. It was already a full A cup within a few months compared to the right which was barely an A. Growth came in fits and starts coinciding with the pain. At probably about 6 months later I had graduated to a full B on my left side and a small B on the right. At around the same time I began to lose a lot of weight and as a consequence my band size dropped from 36 to 34, so my boobs correspondingly now fill a C cup in the new band size. Presently at nearly 16 months both left and right now fill a C cup (34 band) in most bra styles and D cup in some.
Hi Leila, my left hand side definately grew slower than the right. It has caught up now after this recent growth spurt. Not sure if it is my imagination but the left hand side feels better than the right - i know it sounds weird.
I get this strange itchy or sometimes a tingling sensation in my breasts when i scratch it i notice i am kind of pushing around a boob now LOL :D
What I thought was my bra size first couple years on hormones was not the same size as when I went to a lingerie shop and got properly "fitted" for a bra by a professional.
For me, I went straight on HRT, never had even a blimp of boob prior. It has taken me a long time to get to now, although my boobs have been about the same for the last 4, but slight signs of change again now.... In my case age played a major part along with family boob size history, on the whole...
Started Finesteride about 3months ago, maybe that's the slight changes appearing now... also have always had tenderness at regular intervals and through growth spurts. On the whole happy with what I have (34B), better than I'd have hoped, do I want more yes, but won't spend on BA, other more important things first... assuming an income stream restarts :-\
L Katy :-*
I had breast buds and soreness in the first week, and could fit in to an A cup within a few more days; I ended up being outed at work by growing to 42C at 4 months. Growth blessedly slowed down some since then (I'm 5 years on HRT this month). It does sound like you're getting a head start on AAs only!
I did take measurements at the time, but I lost them a long time ago. :) We took pictures every week too, though.
When I was male-bodied before any HRT, at 130 lbs, my bust and underbust were practically the same at 35".
In the first 8 weeks my bust grew to to 37.3" while my underbust stayed the same, though I was purposefully eating more at the same time (to gain to 138 lbs). I got both breast buds during this time (ow!). But I also lost some chest and back muscle, and the growth has stalled since week 6 (at week 12 now) and the buds are not painful lately.
I hate that there seems to be a choice between being a bit heavy with a full cup, or being athletic and somewhat flat chested. :/
I'm not sure on the rate of growth for me but I have a definite full a-cup. I hope for more but since I'm not even 2 years into HRT, I have faith that I'll get more. Considering I started with an indent on the left side of my chest and flat on the right, I'm doing good thus far.

Hi Joanne,
I've been on dutasteride for about a month now and nothing else. Here's what I've noticed my nipples seem to be swelling underneath quite often. It doesn't last but it sure feels good when it happens. My breast seem to be a little rounder but that could be my imagination. My skin has definitely softened and the pores on my face have noticeably shrunken. My daughter commented the other day how soft my skin was.
The side effects do say that a small percentage of males experience gynecomastia. I'm a little surprised that it seems to be happening quickly and seems to be mimicing the early start of taking E but I'm not complaining. It sure feels good.
Take care,
Paige :)
At the moment my chest is 39-39.5 inches and my under bust is 34 inches. The bust used to be 40 inches but has shrink a bit since i started exercising and dieting.
I've only been on Dutasteride 1 week and Fin since last November.
Paige I had very high prolactin levels for some reason that caused gynecomastia and these boobs to form so maybe thats why Im experience breast growth with these tablets. Is great you are having an effect and Im also hoping the Avodart will give me a bit of a boost LOL. Would also be great if it effects my skin like you have reported.
I need proper HRT though ::)
When I go jogging these days, I am a bit self conscious if my chest is bouncing up and down slightly.
 Joanne I had the Jogging problem, so just went after dark, and wore athletic 1st layer and loose Tee on top... mind you no one actually noticed anyways...
L Katy
I used to jog with a sports bra at night and that helped a lot. The problem with the bra i bought is that it has a lot of padding so it looks a bit noticeable under my top.
I need a super discrete one that binds the chest until i am comfortable coming out properly.
Breast growth does depend on genetics and is different for every woman.
Me.. I was a fast bloomer.. I had a tingly feeling on the second day and soreness within a few days of starting hrt.. breast buds within 2 weeks of starting.. I was a full A cup after month 1, B cup at month 2. Then things slowed down.. I was a C cup after year 1.. I reached a D cup.. around the 2 year mark.. I take it my final size.. as I am 4 years since starting hormones.. and still a D cup.
I started from a flat chest (no man boobs)... My roommate (a cis-girl) said I should start wearing a sports bra once i started to feel sensation in my nipples.. so day 2 i started wearing a bra everyday.. When I reached an A cup, I then started wearing regular padded bra's..
I enjoyed the experience of breast growth.. and I love my breasts.. I was a little late to the party.. as I only started hrt at 21 years old.. 10 years later than other woman breasts started growing. as a teenage i was jealous that the girls how the girls bodies changed....
It took me about 3 months before they had grown enough for me to think of them more as boobs. They aren't big but I definitely couldnt go topless any more. Around then I stopped wearing my falsies and just stuck with heavily padded bras. Around 5 months I noticed a little bit of cleavage in a tighter fitting shirt. I've hit a slow spot unfortunately but I'm hoping for another growthspurt soon. I'd definitely like if mine started to fill in and be a bit less cone like. =P

I'm 38.5 and about 34, just a little jiggle. Unfortunately most of it's still muscle.

Weird about your prolactin level. Have you had leakage from your breasts?

Yes me too. Although I think I'm going to see how the Avodart does for at least 6 months first. I decided to try doing this in baby steps. I may not even get to the next stage.

I notice a bit of a bounce when I go down stairs. It feels good but I worry that I may start to show as the summer gets closer and I'm not wearing sweaters.
Take care,
Paige :)
I've been 34B since about 2 months in. 3 months is coming up in a few weeks. Hard to conceal now. I am hoping by 6 months they look somewhat "normal."

I started on it yesterday. I was already a 38A, but I haven't seen much growth yet since starting on it.
I know only some people get gynecomastia from it, but I can always hope.
My breasts started growing 3 days after starting hrt, took me 4 months to get to an A cup, and I didnt reach a B cup until 14 months.
