Where are such options like intersexual, pansexual, etc.? :(
Oh well, I suppose I should include intersexual as not everyone is born male or female, but pansexual - I hate this term. I would date a pre-op transsexual man or woman. Does this mean I am not bisexual?
HEY!!!
I'm a flaming pansexual! LOL

HEY!!!
I'm a flaming pansexual! LOL
I saw a flaming pan once on a stove top.
I am bisexual.
I'm not really very open about it because my sexual identity is not as important as my gender identity. I am also a very inexperienced person for someone my age, so I don't have a history of cool experiences that I can riff off of for the enjoyment of others. In fact, sometimes I wish I were more experienced and other times I wish I was pure and true like the finest virgin olive oil.
I am attracted to both men and women but can only imagine spending my life with a woman.
Bisexuality refers to two (bi) sexes (sexuality)- "male and female" right?
But!...what if you like more than just male and female like say {male, female, intersex, people with Turner syndrome , people with klinefelter syndrome, other biologically sexed people (through sex-chromosome anomalies), etc.}
Gender seems to be included in determining the difference between pansexual and bisexual, but I take that you disagree with using gender preference to determine sexuality? So I'll avoid that for now.
Also by using the prefix bi is fundamentally too limiting on what sexes one would date for some people (not only pansexuals too). The world is bigger than most people see in a lifetime.
Nero,
Please change 'bisexual' to 'omnisexual'. Considering what I just did with a potato, we may need to expand upon that too.
I am omisexual.
1. what DID you do with that potato? ... nevermind.. i don't wanna know...
2. What if i'm in love with myself. I'm turning out to be the kind of girl i wish i could of dated.... does that make me narcsexual?
Autosexuality is to be attracted sexually to one's self. :)

Autosexuality is to be attracted sexually to one's self. :)
I honestly thought it meant being attracted to your car. ::)
AUTOSEXUAL
sexual orientation toward oneself; that is, preferring self-gratification over other forms of sexual activity. Often occurs as a result of numerous failed attempts at interpersonal relationships, leading the individual to make a conscious choice to become autosexual rather than face disappointment and frustration yet again.
Numerous advantages to autosexuality include:
- no risk of pregnancy
- no risk of STD's being transmitted
- able to 'get lucky' every time at the bar or club
- the sex is always good
- no relationship issues like jealousy or cheating partner
... need I say more?
OMG.. this is sooooo me.
I can't stand other people anymore.
I hate to imagine a cauliflower like growth emanating from my groinal region
I suck at dating
I love sex too much while sucking at dating too much
I am wary of being cheated on
about the veggie thing... I've never had sexual relations with said object.
Once i get real breasts, i'll probably never leave the house.
When one goes deep into defining sexuality, don't you think labeled boxes are inadequate. Box-terms like heterosexually, homosexuality, and others seem to be the creation by humans to attempt to understand themselves that failed. Gender, sexuality, and other parts of life are not black or white; there is a whole spectrum of colors.
Are all males 100% male minded?
Are all heterosexuals never attracted to the same sex?
Are all androgynes 50% male, 50% female minded?
People just create more and more boxes to try to capture all humanity. And sometimes people create fluid boxes in case of anomalies in people's personal definitions, like slap on a bisexual label if someone likes male 83% and females 17% of the time.
One of my history teachers told my class about a person who researched about whether heterosexuals were truly attracted to the opposite sex only and if homosexuals were truly attracted to the same sex only. My teacher said that the researcher found this not to be true and that people varied everywhere on a homosex-hetrosex scale, and yet heterosexuality is accepted as the norm, homosexual as a rare variant, and bisexuality as a even rarer variant --despite the fact that people that are not on the ends of the scale would be labeled as bisexual (for liking both sexes)
I think that using options like "bisexual", "attracted to men", and "attracted to women" are archaic options that are convenient but inadequate means to find out "What is your sexual orientation?". The options are too limited for everyone to vote. Truly finding one's true sexuality and not just a modern label used by the majority of this human society is not easy I admit
(for many reasons like religious believes, stereotyping, poor child rising, etc.)
,but if you're going to preform a poll of finite options-at least provide more options and/or "other" option to allow everyone to let you and others know their sexual orientation.
Sorry to be such a pain in your backside Nero. :( Though I wanted to say this because I never saw a site with a database that acknowledges my sexuality and others besides hetrosex, homosex, and bisex, (even on this site about transgender).
Roflol, how about scratching the poll and just rephrasing it into a question:
"Androgynes, what is your sexual orientation? Please note your birth-sex and elaborate."
8)
Update Though it's actually really quite logical *sips coffee*: it's called Sexual, not Genderual. Thus, it really comes down to: Attracted to females / Attracted to males / Attracted to IS / Attracted to females&males / Attracted to all / Attracted to neither.
No offense, but in this order I'm not counting autosexuality since we all have a sex of our own as well, and I think what Nero's trying to determine is an overview of what sex we are attracted to: not gender, but sex. So to simplify: who would you shag (since sexuality also works with one-night-stands ya know?)
Update #2 Along the above philosophy I voted Female bodied and Asexual since a shag in a chevy with whatever sex is hardly a bloody fanfare for me. 8)
I chose "I am male bodied and attracted to women."
I'm not exactly male bodied anymore and definitely won't be by the time I finish fixing myself but I prefer to leave the term IS to those who were born anatomically non-binary (not those who fix themselves that way). I am predominantly attracted to women, androgynes can be fine too and on rare occasions so can guys. I guess I could have labeled myself bisexual but I prefer to define myself by the rule not by the exception.

I did not have sexual relations with that potato. All I did was buy it dinner and suckle on it for a bit. I understand that society looks down upon potato lovers, however, we are people too - even if the potato isn't.
Candi,

YES, anytime ;D (my sexual orientation)
Seriously, given the above options I'd say bi, however since there are more than two genders, it might need to be tri-sexual (I'll try anything), or pan-sexual (hmmmm, I don't know about doing it in a cast iron skillet) or omni-sexual (well, maybe not potatoes...) >:D
Pesky bunch, aren't we Nero?

'Asexual' probably fits me better than any of the options, but I consider my sexuality to be non-oriented. When it comes to looking, females are usually more attractive to me than males, but not always. When it comes to actually feeling "I would like to have sex with that person" desire (rather than the aesthetic "That person is pretty to look at and warms my guts and crotch in a sexy kinda way" desire) it's some aspect of the person that isn't directly connected to the person's sex.

Pansexuality is the sexual preference of those who are attracted to others for reasons that don't involve one's sex.

Sometimes I try to have oral with a potato-french fry, but I always get too aggressive and chew the french fries to potato dust. :embarrassed: ;D
I am a biologically male. I love women. But I get the feeling that my attraction to women is different to your stereotypical males attraction (which makes sense because gender wise I am not male). I really like lesbian woman for some reason, the shaved heads, the masculine shirts...I know they arn't all like that but there sure is something about them. I guess this is just a preference but I'm sure it is related to my gender.
I voted for "female bodied and bisexual." I identify as pansexual, but I usually lean toward girls. I find all kinds of bodies attractive, but I tend to be more attracted to women, especially androgynous or masculine women with strong personalities.
We're female bodied. Kerry likes men, Kenny likes women.
I suppose technically I'm bisexual, but I don't really feel right saying it. I usually just say we're straight to the extreme. ;D

What you do to french fries makes you a 'masher' for sure.
haha, elaboration required. k umm
female bodied, and bi is i guess the closest...i cant say i have much experience with any sex, but i'm definitely attracted to both/neither/all of the above/no one can tell xD. and definitely not asexual, unless you define it as 'not having any particular attraction'....i dont have a type per se, i dont think. i do like those that blur gender lines though, looks wise ;D
yah i guess thats elaborated o.O
Can I elaborate without voting?
After a bit of self-study I've got to the conclusion that it's just not that simple. With respect to sex as a physical act for pleasure, I'm more or less bisexual, although the idea of male homosexuality doesn't normally turn me on very much.
However, with respect to sex as the ultimate form of intimacy I'm pretty thoroughly heterosexual. Since I'm anatomically male that means having a female partner; however, I'd really prefer to be anatomically female, and if I were, I'm pretty sure I'd switch to preferring men. Then again, at the moment my relationship with my wife, including the ability to occasionally go beyond cuddling, is more important to me than having my body match my image of what it should be like. Still, while it's better intimacy-wise to consider the thing between my legs as my penis, from the point of view of actually getting an orgasm it's much more effective to think of it as a strap-on.
Considering all this, I'm pretty much of the opinion that concepts like gender identity, sex, and sexual orientation are pretty hard to define. But then, we all knew that.

That's really interesting, Nfr.
Why do you think you prefer a female lover now, but if you switched to a female body, you'd prefer a male one?
Introspection, observations about my feelings during the act, and experimental masturbation. :icon_redface:

I am female bodied and attracted to men
I can't work out if my feeling of androgeny is inherent or something society has pushed onto me
When I was at school refused to even wear a tie as I said it was what boys wore, so I was very aware of gender roles and wanted to adhere to my own one very strictly
I am constantly made to feel I dont adhere to a sufficient level of femininity by other people though and get fed up of it
I veer between not caring and feeling pushed into a role I don't want by default
I don't think I'm sexually attracted to women as I don't tend to get on with them but I have this feeling in the back of my mind that a lot of this is fear and repression. When I was a teenager, I went through a phase where I was scared to death that I might be gay as I kept thinking about a girl at school - it seemed like the worst thing in the world but it wasn't a sexual thing, more a panic thing ie I was thinking 'Why do I keep thinkign about this girl, I don't even know her, oh God perhaps I'm gay!' and this meant I couldnt stop thinking about her - like an involuntary obsession causd by anxiety. It passed though, and of course as an adult I can see how ridiculous it was to be so scared as being gay is something you either are or aren't and certainly not a bad thing.
There was another girl I think I had a crush on - she had a haircut a bit like David Bowie's and I think it was because she looked a bit masculine that was part of the appeal.
I have always been interested in gay culture though; I don't feel I'd fit into it but I am an interested observer of it
I feel I think a lot more like a man than a woman and when I mix with women they make me feel I dont' fit in properly
I think I can appreciate when a woman is attractive but I wouldn't want to have sex with a woman as I don't tend to even like most of them. When a bf has an overdeveloped chest area eg so it feels and looks a bit like female breasts I deliverately avoid touching them as it reminds me of female breasts too much
I once had an experience that made me feel very uncomfortable when this woman Dr was examining my chest for a health checkup - we both looked at each other and I was very worried about what she was thinking as it seemed very scary the way she looked at me - I couldn't interpret it.
I don;t know as a biological male I do love women yeah but some guys are attractive too but I don;t think I could ever go out with a guy or have sex with one: its just too weird for me.
I am male-bodied and I like women.
I have a funny story about how I came to this knowledge but I'm saving it.

Edit- I am female-bodied.
I have found that I can be attracted to almost any kind of body. I am attracted mostly to males, but I also have found strong attractions to females (mostly of the masculine or at least non-feminine type) and masculine FtMs.
However, for love, I believe that you can fall in love with any soul, like Pica said.
I am male bodied and am attracted to women. I have been in a long term monogamous relationship.
It is interesting to note that a majority (12 of 22 respondents) indicate that they are bisexual. Should this be at all surprising, given that we identify as androgynous? Even though gender identity is not the same thing as sexual preference, it is interesting to note the relationship between the two.

I'm not certain, but I think that some of the more specific forms of androgyne, such as neutrois, include bisexuality as part of the condition.
another poll, my dearies?
I'm male-bodied and am bi-sexual. I would say that I'm attracted to femininity more than masculinity, although the combination of certain masculine traits does make my heart race as much as a beautiful woman does! I must say, though, that my best erotic experiences have been with transgendered people.
For my own two cents, I think sexuality for most of the population is more ambiguous than gender is.
I think I'm androgysexual  as in, only attracted to people who are androgynous looking/acting.
Physically I think I may prefer male bodies...?
It doesn't matter to me that much but I'm not a big fan of breasts.
I chose the bisexual option anyway. In my opinion all bisexual people should also be 'pansexual'. If you're attracted to both masculine and feminine traits and bodies then surely transgendered people are ideal for you anyway ::).

I don't remember having ever read that one. The closest I can think is that one site used to say that androgynes were more likely to be attracted to other androgynes. If you can figure out where you saw that, I'd be interested in reading it.

I agree. I can have sex with a man or a woman...sex is sex and the goal is the same no matter who you're with. :) For me, the body of the person has very little to do with my attraction. I am female bodied, but my brain is not strictly female. I'm attracted to people by the way they think and who they are. I am more attracted to the male mind than the female mind...to be more specific, I like men who (most likely) are female brain gendered, i.e., artistic men. "Good ol' boys", as we call them in Kentucky (male to the max...you know what I mean even if I don't say it well :) ), do absolutely NOTHING for me...I don't understand them.
By the way Jacqui, I LOVE RITSU!!!!!! :D He's my favorite character!!! That's such a cute picture of him!!!
I would answer the poll, but honestly, I don't know what to put.
I have a male body...that part is easy enough to figure out...it's the rest of the question that has me confused.
I am attracted to femininity...men don't hold attraction for me. BUT (you knew one was coming) the genitals don't really matter as I am attracted to both flavors. So, does that make me attracted to women or bi?
I agree with Jaimey...I find Good ol' boys (in Texas, we just call them Rednecks...a name they are proud of for some reason) to be the epitome of the worst in men. Every time I spend time around them, I have to rush home, shave my legs and paint my nails just to feel normal again. (Not sure what that says about me, but them boys got cooties or somethin')
For those of you who love country-fied, dumb-as-a-rock, no teeth, good ol' boys, sorry if that offends.
For those of you who love veggies (Rebis)...been there, done that, got my heart broken by a cucumber who was sleeping with some tomato. That's OK, I got pickled and canned its a$$. (Ba-dum-bump)
.....Laurry
Girls, boys, girls who are boys...that covers it.
Males and females, in both a heterosexual and homosexual way. And other androgynes of course.
I know I'm late for the conversation but I'll throw this out.
I don't think any of the options totally is appropriate but I'd go with bisexual under the premise that Mia and I are attracted to specific people based on personality and less importantly what they look like. Women in general we get along with better and they have usually much more desirable bodies to gaze upon but occasionally some males meet the criteria to spark interest.
So I'd have to say a tilt towards women is present but only because of the nature of guys.

I know the feeling (except that I don't shave my legs, but plucking eyebrows works as well). Then again, there are women who are just as far in the opposite direction -- and getting rid of those cooties by growing a three-day beard stubble takes so much more time.

Bisexual and biologically female. At least thats what it looks like, ha ha ;D
Further explanation? People are people and I am attracted to people. Not telephones, fish tanks, or anything else.
I've only had relationships with guys, and all my friendships are with guys. Through experience I have just found my life filled with many guys and very few gals, and then the gals never stick around. I kissed a girl once... if it hadn't been for the cigarette and beer breath I may have gone in for another kiss. I'm actually fairly conservative about my sex life or finding people to be intimate with.
I am female bodied and bisexual.
most of the time attracted by men
In girlie moods/ periods attracted by women
But to be really honest; It's about the personality to me;
one time I've been deeply in love with somebody male bodied; but such a beautifull woman :-* WOW
great in conversations, charisma just everything........
9 years ago , but never forget; never had a relation with that person... but always on my mind :)
I am male bodied and bisexual, but I don't really feel like its the right word. I'm attracted to people, regardless of their physical sex more or less, more based upon their personalities, their behavior, what they say and do.
I've found that I have alot of trouble dating non transgender people; as cliche as it sounds, they don't quite understand me, and it bothers me. Currently, I am with a FTM, and things are working nicely.
