Well.. nothing much more. I recently arrived in Seattle for work. I am probably going to be here for like 6 months to a year. Anyone know any support groups / meetups.
Also, please could you help me locate trans friendly doctors. I have limited medicines which will last me like 2 months. I have all the letters and prescriptions from doctors back home. Any friendly doctors around who can write me fresh prescriptions, as I am not sure out-of-country prescriptions will work in the U.S.
TIA ladies .. xoxo -Sneha
hi there ssneha,
I am just an hour north, in this area the washington gender alliance has a web page with dates locations and times of support groups, with links to others in the area, we have a great group in bellingham but it would be a bit a drive from where you are.

I recently helped someone find some groups on the other side of the water from Seattle. There are huge amounts of resources. Really there's too much for me to post, but a simple Google search should uncover a bunch.
Thanks for your response Phoenix. I did a Google search and there are so many to choose from. Are there any groups you would recommend?

They have a meet up every Wednesday at 7 on Capitol Hill, it is getting quite big, and there is a medical directory on their page.

SS, here is a trans friendly doc that I have been considering going to: Jessica Rongitsch, MD, FACP http://www.capitolhillmedical.com/ She is one of the few I can find and I've been here 10 years. My GP is out of network now so I need to change and she is on the short list.
I guess the Ingersoll center is a good place to start, I've never been there. Their web site is kind of lame but maybe in person or on the phone would give you a true representation.
Hi Sneha!
Glad you made it to the states OK. Hope you can stay a bit longer. :)
