I don't know if somebody beat me to asking this, but mine as well ask. Apparently there's a dress that's been starting debates over the simple question "what color is it?" I see it perfectly normal and most probably will, but I'm finding it very interesting how many are actually seeing it a color that it's not. Scientifically the reasoning for that they say is due to the background lighting and overlaying colors on it. But just want to see how many here see it as the color it is, and how many a different.

It is actually bue and black. But there are some who see it as gold and white. I find it fun because I see it perfectly fine as blue and black, but then again, those who would see it gold and white probably think the exact same thing about me.
No matter what I do, I cannot see it as blue and black. I did see a video however where someone took an image from the website from which it originates, and he distorted it to make it as the dress appears in the viral photo. So yes, it is indeed blue and black, but the image appears to be white and gold.
I see white and gold, although I do see a blue tint to the white. But I do know it's blue and black.
Horizontal stripes, though? I ain't wearing it no matter the color. [emoji13]
I saw this pop up on ->-bleeped-<- and it was white and gold at first, then I scrolled down and back up and it was black and blue :P I couldn't get the white and gold back but seeing it here all I see is white and gold.
Eyes is funny things ^_^
My friend showed me this the other day. I see blue and gold. I looked at it on multiple display devices. I'm not sure what to make of it, since people are telling me it is, in actuality, blue and black. I scored a rare 100% accuracy on a color test I took a while back. It's pretty strange.
Blue and Black! Without a doubt.

hehe. Wow. this is so cool to see how many see the white and gold version :D
in one image of the dress (it was lightened to show how people see it as white and gold) I saw it still as blue and black , but much paler since the image was lightened. then it changed before my eyes to white and gold. I freaked out.
Read into this what you want, I saw it this morning on TV in a semi dark room and it was blue, black, I then saw it this afternoon on a tablet on a well lit bus and it was white, gold!!!
It blew my tiny mind!!!!!!
I see white and gold in this pic. I dont quite understand the science behind but its very interesting.
I saw it as white and gold first and now i always see it as blue and black.
Same as Donna Troy... although if you look at the top of the dress it's a bit golden.
every pic I've seen of this dress is purple and brown
I've seen two different pics of this dress. In one (the one above) I see white and gold and in the other, blue and black. For the life of me I cannot understand how they could pictures of the same dress.
I'm really starting to wonder if this entire thing was a marketing tactic by the dress designer. Using some sort of camera trickery to spark a debate about the color of their dress and draw attention to it? :P
Regardless of what color that dress might be, I don't like its design at all.
What? Nobody else sees the polka dots?
I can play trombone and dance a pretty wild polka 8)
I see light blue and gold, but the lighting in the picture is poor enough that the "gold" could easily be black washed out with yellow light.
I see lite blue and gold also.
Bluish white and gold.
The lighting throws the color off I'm guessing.
And that is an ugly dress. I wouldn't wear it even if I got it for free.
Another interesting point about this dress - people who see blue and black will see white and gold if the colors are inverted. However, people who originally see white and gold will still see white and gold when the colors have been inverted. Weird?
