Title: My experiences coming out as GenderFluid
Post by: Ofelia on March 04, 2015, 03:56:04 AM
Hey Guys and Girls,

I have known that I did not fit within the rigid bounds of the binary gender definitions since I was a child. A few months ago, at the tender age of 34 I decided that I was ready to take the gamble of revealing my true identity to the world. To my family, my friends, my colleagues and indeed the world.

It was really scary but I have met such unimaginable acceptance, love and support that I wanted to share my personal blog with all of you. For many years I have stalked this website and others like it, too afraid to even engage. I lived within the confining squeeze of anxiety, depression, shame, fear and suicidal desires for almost two decades and I have now learnt that I didn't have to.

If there is anyone reading this who can empathise with these feelings, perhaps my story will help you to find the insurmountable happiness that I am now living every day.

[Sorry - but just until I have read the Terms of Service and make sure I am not violating them I will temporarily remove my link]

Peace and love.

You're very welcome here, and nice blog!  :)  I'm curious how you feel about using "Mx" ("Mix") as a gender neutral title, or if you prefer switching between Mister and Miss?
