Bonjour les gens, {*}
I'm a single person living and working in Taiwan. I'm not Taiwanese, I'm Canadian though in passport only - I haven't been home in a decade. I won't say my age, but I look a lot younger (about 30) than my chronological age. I'm exploring while I still have a youthful look.
I've been socially out for a long time as (TMI?) pansexual and very comfortable with who I am. I stopped caring long ago about what other people think and am very confident about confronting bigots. But I've never been able to experience what it was like to be a woman - if I couldn't be one physiologically, then I didn't want to try.
I've had years of occasionally androgynous clothes (I wore tights and leggings when they were unfashionable) and the frustration of not being able to experience life as both genders. I finally said "Screw it" and decided to go all in. I've actually thought about transitioning, but I'm in the finding-things-out stage. Dressing is easy, the hard part is finding clothes in a country where plus sizes don't exist. Hooray for online shopping.
I'm surprised at how quick I found my female voice, but learning makeup is going to be a long learning curve.
While registering, I found that the name Rhiannon was already taken by someone else. Please note the "10101" at the end, and yes it's a reference to Taipei 101. No, I did not choose Rhiannon because of Fleetwood Mac, I chose it because I knew a girl in high school with that name and because my real name is Celtic as well.
{* No, I'm not bilingual. My French is minimal, and that's a generous description of it.}

Glad you found the forum. It sounds like you have things pretty well figured out as far as who you are. If you are going back and forth with what gender you present yourself with, its probably better to stay as you are than to transition. Some things just can't be undone. Besides, if you are happy, why mess with that?
If you do have questions, you won't have any problem getting help here. In the meantime, welcome.
