haven't been on here for a little while but I Have another hormone question any help would be greatly appreciated. So I was switched from a patch to VI depo estradiol, so my question is am I better off staying on the patch? it seems like a really low dosage to me! just don't want to go backwards I'll deal with the skin burns from the patch if the shot is less of a dose, until I can find another doctor if needed, but I'm not sure and I don't know how to figure it out! thanks in advance for any help!
No Dosages Please
I do blood tests to check on this.
I would suggest going with the dosage your Dr. prescribes and make an effort to read the Site Terms of Service and rules to live by (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,2.msg27408.html#msg27408)
Quote8. The discussion of hormone replacement therapy(HRT) and it's medications are permitted, with the following limitations:
A. You may not advocate for or against a specific medication or combinations of medication for personal gain. This is strictly prohibited.
B. You may not discuss the means to acquire HRT medications without a prescription. The discussion of self medication without a doctors supervision is prohibited.
C. The discussion of recommended or actual dosages is strongly discouraged to prevent information obtained on this site from being used to self medicate.
We can not in good conscience condone the self administering of these medications. Not only may self medication be illegal, but HRT medications can cause serious health problems, and many have the potential for life-threatening side effects that can only be detected and prevented with proper medical supervision.
Thank you

Yeah. Give it some time. If it is too low, or even too high, it can easily be adjusted.

Perhaps I should have said my endocrinologist does blood tests to check on this, but I tend to think of it the other way around.
