Title: 2 weeks on HRT, emotions different?
Post by: RuthFrances on March 11, 2015, 01:18:18 PM
So.... I started HRT a couple of weeks ago (starting slow per endo). I have always been pretty handy but have gotten easily frustrated doing mechanical work. I was working on my boat earlier and getting frustrated as usual but instead of getting angry I found myself becoming more peaceful with the thought of "it's ok to not put yourself through this. Pay somebody to do this, after all you're a girl". Not that I have the money to always pay a mechanic when something goes wrong, but in the past I would have gotten quite ugly, with the cussing and all. Anyways, it's different for me. Not so obsessed with trying to make it work, my self image not so tied up in my abilities.

Wow, that's an interesting statement. It rings true for me, too.

I have noticed similar thoughts myself.

Yes me too! It's like my mind has changed quite a bit. I'm currently on my almost 2nd month and Jesus... I actually feel like a different person
