I think I made my point!
Good night everyone!
But it helps to look like one.
You did it. Now comes the hard part: expecting 3 billion men to understand, damn it.
PS: I think we need a rockhead/metalhead/headbanging emoticon.

This is great. We should keep adding to it!
How about:
smile constantly
smell good
bring you a beer
... but they may as well do or be all the things on the list if they so desire ;).
Women do not have to laugh at your jokes if they're not funny
Wear high heels
Paint their nails
Look after the kids whilst you get a break at work
Wash the dishes
Do the ironing (I don't even know where mine is)
Clean the toilet (it's you blokes who make most of the mess through a combination of standing up & poor aim)
Find every man attractive, seriously, you men have standards & shock horror so do we
be fashionable
pick up your clothes
remember everyone's birthday

That one is true, too. I have a (cis) friend who doesn't shave, and I didn't notice until she pointed it out!
Women don't have to do anything that they don't want to do :)
It will be awesome if we keep adding stuff to the list! :D

True True
Most important item on that list is "have a vagina". After all, the lack thereof is what initially sets us all apart from ciswomen. And not every transwoman transitions (try saying that five times fast!).
But to add to it, women do not have to:
Bow to your every whim
Put out constantly
Act girly
Change themselves to fit your twisted views

Yes, it is only necessary if you have a uterus, want to have penetrative sex, or want to have babies.
Also, a penis is only necessary for penetrative sex and impregnating a female.

I can almost taste the sarcasm in this post...something tells me I worded my first post wrong.

wear a bra
watch chick flicks

True, true. being happy and confident with yourself is what makes you the person who you truly are.

FYI: I'm IS.
My facial hair grows so slow, and now blond, not white but I only have to shave about every third day. Fourth, if I really push it.

I admire those who can be satisfied with who they are without passing. I certainly never will be.
Here's another one:
-Wear only women's clothing
And I can hardly believe no one said:
-Love shopping

Well, that would depend on what you're shopping for, wouldn't it? I can't see shopping for insurance to be too enjoyable. Now if you're going thrifting or antiquing on the other hand... :)
As for the topic at hand:
- Only eat salad.
- Love shoes.

I would have to agree about shopping for insurance, but if there is anything you enjoy shopping for, then you enjoy shopping, so that does not really count either.

I second this post. And of course, I reserve the feminine right of changing my mind if I don't want to do what a man wants me to do.

Big difference between surrendering voluntarily and being forced, Beth Andrea and SarahBoo. Not what I would choose, but I support your right to choose it.

No one said anything about being forced, Dee. Just because a woman isn't a feminist doesn't mean that she wants to be forced to do anything...including being forced to be a feminist.

I didn't mean you were forced. I mean if you choose to have that kind of relationship, rather than being pushed into it, it's your right. I remember when some feminists would say that being a wife and mother wasn't a valid choice. I don't ever want to be that kind of feminist.
How can a woman not be feminist?? Seriously you may think women have no problems in the western world, even though we do, but look at other cultures. There are women all over the world being genitally mutilated, have no freedom, can't drive, leave the country...like seriously? And then in the western, the over valuing of beauty in women over anything else
Yeah...not a feminist...right.
Let us be very careful of bashing other peoples views.

I am sorry but I am having a hard time understanding her view.
That's fine.
We can discuss stuff in a mature way.
Remember there are people who cannot understand how someone can be trans. We need to learn to argue logically and not just emotionally.

Well, it not really emotional. how can one not be a feminist in a world women are OPPRESSED for being women?
OK, but maybe it is a good idea not to argue with me on the open forum?
Feel free to pm me.
I certainly agree with your point of oppression, subjugation and vilification.
But that was not the posters intent; if you read her post in context.

No problem, I can explain it fairly easily.
It has to do with my personality, and the kinds of relationship dynamics I fit into.
---
Personality wise, while I know where I stand on things and have an opinion, I am very much submissive.
I like having doors opened for me. I like having my coat taken off and put back on for me. I like and really enjoy all the 'female privileges of chivalry' that are so frowned upon.
Relationship/dynamic wise, I like to be with a dominant man.
I like to please him. I like to be told what to do. I thrive on a man's approval. I'm not talking about an unintelligent orge of a man of course - simply a man who is 'on top'.
---
These are not weaknesses. This is the way I am. This is what I want, and on many levels, need.
So, on paper I am almost stereotypically anti-feminist. But I am not against feminism, at all.
What I mean is - not fitting the bill of a feminist does not make me less of a woman. Nor does it make me more of a woman.
Hence, one does not need to be a feminist to be a woman, or vice versa.
