Title: Medical ID
Post by: ImagineKate on March 12, 2015, 07:41:05 AM
Do you carry one and do you list gender dysphoria on it as a medical condition?

I do (on my phone) and I put all my medicines listed on it including the HRT. I thought about it on Suzi's thread regarding her talk with the police. It might be a good idea, just in case of any emergency.

Of course listing gender dysphoria is optional but I still think listing the HRT is a good idea.

I think listing the HRT is definitely a good idea. I also keep an electronic version of a letter from my therapist on my phone so that if I'm ever involved in a position with someone official who can't handle pronouns or my name, I can reference that.

They even make cute looking bracelets. No idea what guys would use though. Dog tags?

This guy would use the cutest bracelet. But I suspect my definition of cute is unique.

I don't wear one, but should due to other medical issues.  I wonder if it would be important in an emergency for the healthcare people to know I'm on testosterone, or have a few lady parts left.

It probably would be, not just for medical emergency but also if you get arrested (hey it can happen to the best of us) or otherwise have to be cared for by emergency services.
