Title: Question about Testoviron
Post by: noahallston on March 22, 2015, 10:25:29 AM
Hello!
I am a long time lurker and just signed up for an account recently.

I had a question about Testoviron Depot 250. Do any of you guys know anything about its side effects?
I've been taking it for almost 3 months already as it is the only available testosterone in my country (Peru)
and what my endo prescribed to me, however I heard many guys from the local ftm community say that it had many adverse effects and that they used another brand that one of their brother's pharmaceutical company imported from USA.

I asked my endo about this but he says that I should keep taking Testoviron, I want a second opinion but sadly he's the only endocrinologist in my country who works with transsexual people.
I'm a bit worried as I keep hearing negative stuff about Testoviron, I think I read some reviews by ftm people before on some old forums but I can't seem to find them since they were pretty old and I read them a couple of years ago.

So basically, I wanted to know if any of you guys have used, know about or have heard about Testoviron having any kind of negative side effects or something.

Thanks a lot for your time and I'm sorry if my English isn't very good since it's my second language.

Hi Noah, welcome to Susan's.

Your english is very good actually, no worries on that about that

I've heard little about the enthanate part. I know it is made in some rather large pharmaceutical companies.

There is a lot of information here and many friends to be made. I hope we see more of you.

Here are some links to site rules and some answers to often asked questions.

Hi Noah, welcome to Susan's Place! I'm from Boston.  I only found one thread about testoviron: https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,56903.0.html Does it go by other names?

Hugs, Devlyn

Nothing specifically re: Testiviron, it's marketed in the US as testosterone enathate it's one of the more prescribed versions of IM T. Take under care of physician under guidelines he or she prescribes. Get frequent blood tests for blood count, cholesterol, liver enzymes, and t levels (perhaps twice a year after you have started). T is safe and effective if given as prescribed.

Most common adverse effects: weight gain, acne, elevated blood pressure, and cholesterol, and high red blood count. It's not specific to type of T. The only bad kind of T is oral. Never take T orally as it is almost guaranteed to raise your liver enzymes badly.
