Hey
I was just wondering if anyone had the concentric circle technique. Im far too big for peri and keyhole but extended Concentric Circles (or extended peri) seems about right and the scarring is small compared to DI and the sensation usually preserved, which is what i want.
(Also what size were you before hand because different surgeons quote different things)
Never heard of this method ???
Peri is also known as the concentric circle method. It's the same thing.
Not according to OP
The peri-areolar procedure is also known as the purse-string, draw-string, and concentric circles procedure. A complete circle is made around the nipple. My guess is that OP would like a larger circle around the nipple (leaving the stalk preserved for sensation) so that more tissue can be taken out. I have honestly never heard of anyone doing a larger circle, but I have heard of other methods used in combination with peri to accommodate larger chested guys.
The Extended version is mainly done in europe. It just seems a little less evasive and looks really good.
We had discussed it in another thread OP, not sure what the exact title was - but the concern with using this technique in general with larger guys is the probable need for at least one revision. Though an extended version would hypothetically give the surgeon more room to work, I would bet on there being a need for at least one revision if you're outside of the recommended size for peri.
Now, if it's commonplace in Europe for surgeons to do the procedure, perhaps they allow for a certain number of free revisions. It would be something to ask. I'd say your best bet to find out if this is a good option for you would be to do a consult with a surgeon.
oh Ive never heard of people having revisions. And that could be a problem because im from the uk and id be going into mainland EU so flights and everything.
Last i checked i was a B/C and fitted the criteria quite well for extended.
I havent asked about revisions and nothing has been set in stone, its just the only surgery that i personally felt akin to it due to its aesthtically pleasing results and conservation of sensitivity. (plus heck of a lot cheaper than DI)
Are there any other similar procedures to extended CC? I personally cant bear to have DI, the scars dont bode well with my skin colour and generally do not fade thus outing me to anyone who sees me shirtless.
There are loads of different reasons for guys to have scars similar to DI. Lots of cisgender men get a similar surgery to correct gynecomastia, and their scars are very similar if not identical to the DI. Obviously it's one thing if you just don't like the aesthetics of the DI. But the scars alone aren't going to out you. There are plenty of reasons for scars like that: mastectomy, gynecomastia, double lung transplant, pectus excavatum, collapsed lung, tumor/cyst removal, etc.
Or you could make up something cool like "epic bar fight" or "bear attack".
I know a lot of people are dead set on certain procedures, but I've always had the view that I'm not the professional in the situation. I let my surgeon choose what she wanted to do, and I think I will have better results because of her choice, though it wouldn't have been mine.

Personally, I like the "I'm a timelord and I needed heart surgery" reason ;D

It seems to me that this is what happened, too! Your results are great!
