Hiya :-)
A friend of mine is having her op in a few weeks. I wanted to get her a gift. Something appropriate to the event, but tasteful. Something meaningful.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks :-)
Kira
What about a t->-bleeped-<- with a motivating print ?

hugs

Very clever, Devlyn!
I suspect she'll be feeling icky and maybe a little down. Flowers, although stereotypical, might be a good choice.
I have a friend who just got her GRS done recently. This is a great topic. I have not thought of getting her anything until now.
A friend who is going with me to Bangkok said "First day you can get out and walk, we're going for sausage!" I laughed and said, "I don't think so!"
Seriously though, I'd never really thought about it. Just going and getting it done will be a gift in itself to me, finally!
That made me laugh too.

cigars? ;D
I totally agree getting surgery done is totally a major gift in and of itself but maybe something she could use post-surgery during recovery phase? It sounds like it can be kinda boring whilst being somewhat bedbound. I'm not really sure what that would be but it seems like a general category that could work and inspire you.
I'm trying to think what I would want but mostly I'm can't get beyond the surgery and recovery stuff. Otherwise it's actions rather than objects I'm thinking of like when she's back home you could make food and make it to her a few times. Or just hang out in general then.
Maybe something pants/swimsuit related? I think this is somewhat tough not knowing either you and your friend in terms of preferences but I hope these ideas help!
