Title: are there any practicle uses for the underwires that come from your bra
Post by: stephaniec on April 03, 2015, 09:42:32 PM
My underwire came out from my bra. the bra is just as comfortable as it was , but I was wondering if anyone had a good use for them because they're nicely formed and springy . It just looks too nice to throw away.

I'm sure you could make a cunning booby-trap out of it :~]

Run them through or stitch them into floppy purse handles?

Bend the ends into a small hook shapes and clasp the hooks together, then it could be used as a clip or carabiner type thing.

Macramé over it,  might be cute, depending on size, as a bracelet or headband, or as the clippy thing??

Or, the booby trap...  XD

*shifty sideways glances* Can be fashioned into quite practical lock picking tools.

Thinking outside the box... If you fold them in half you could have make-shift tweezers or chop sticks.

I have a ways to manage that. But Homeland Security would frown upon me for elaborating.

Plan B - Fish Hooks? They sure sometimes feel like one!. Collect enough and make a ginormous size Slinky?

Use them as the supports for a cat tent.  Google it.

I am pretty sure the guy who invented them has the booby trap patent, I pull mine out straight away and use them to hold my trash sack in place until I have time to walk it out for pick up....tehe

Snip them into equal lengths, weld them onto thimbles, attach that to a pair of gloves and make Cat Woman claws

Why am I convinced that the person who came up with the idea of underwire supports was a man.

I like the style of many of the underwire bras.  However, I pull the wires as soon as I get home.  Has any man had to go throughout the day with one of those wires poking them every time they moved?  I think not!

Next we'll talk about pantyhose...
