Title: Binding - how to measure
Post by: AlB on April 06, 2015, 02:47:05 PM
Uhm... I already own a few binders, and when I measured myself, I wore a sports bra. But tbh, I don't know if I measure myself in the correct way. Due to years of binding, I'm very saggy (lol) and flat-ish, like my chest has no filling and therefore I'm not really sure how to measure. I'm about to order a gc2b, and they have different sizing than Underworks, and therefore I need to measure again :/

Help me guys XD

The best thing to do is to follow the instructions on their website (http://www.gc2b.co/#!sizing/c113j), and order the indicated size. If you're still not sure, they suggest sending them your measurements.

Thank you!

Yes, follow the instructions on the website.  Each company is different, so a size XL on one site isn't the same as an XL on another site.  And it is certainly not the same as an XL t-shirt.

My assumption was that the measuring was meant to be done without any type of bra.  I have ordered and received a gc2b, and I measured without a bra, above the breasts, and careful to keep the measuring string/tape loose.  And the binder I received is the correct size for me.

Every site is different and every manufacturer is different. I used t-kingdom and leslove as my two binder sites and each had very different measuring systems. I'm wasnt a small guy so I had to be very careful each time. If you aren't sure, you can contact the admins. If they don't get back to you, look elsewhere.

The directions on the GC2B site are kinda weird and I didn't really get it when I measured. Follow the instructions on whatever site. If the directions are confusing measure to the best of your ability and guess.
