Been on the pill form of estradiol for a few weeks after a year on the gel and breast growth has accelerated. I had quite a bit on the gel but it was a little slow. But the pills are a lot more powerful and my body seems to like them better. I'm glad too. I got sick of rubbing that gel on my arm everyday. It smelled, it was sticky and cold. And expensive. It went up to $90 while the pills are like $15.
Hi Amy, which estradiol pills are you taking, that make you feel better in terms or feminization? Do you take them orally or sublingually? It's good when one finds a hrt that gives good effects!!!
Oddly I have the opposite, I was on pills for 4 months. Switched to Patch/Gel Combo in March and I have had an explosion of better results in the last month then I did the whole time on Pills.
It depends on many body factors, I would think skin thickness wrt to gels and patches, how your liver and endocrine system works pills, sublingually or orally, at the end of the day its about what works best.
For me I have been orally taking HRT for a long, long time, will swap to implants a little later this year in an effort to give my liver a rest, I am hoping it works as well or better >:-)

I'm almost afraid to try the gel or the patch. I have high skin permeability, always have had. With my skin thinning on E it's probably worse. Just as an example, years ago, pre-E, I was counting psychotropic medications. I got a contact high from a wide selection of them. As you can imagine, I never counted them with bare hands again.

I'm taking generic estradiol.

Careful, girls. We don't share dosages. Don't want to encourage self medication. There are liability issues that could lose us this wonderful resource.
Those are the Teva generics that I take.
Take them sublingually, they will avoid the liver pass.

and the absorption is many times greater with sublingual estradiol :)
I have used both Teva and Watson estradiol; both sublingual. Both are good, but Watson tastes better ;D
