Title: Anyone Heard of Dr. Mardirossian?
Post by: JJohnson on April 16, 2015, 10:25:52 AM
Has anyone heard of Dr. Mardirossian in Jupiter, FL?

I've been looking around at different surgeons for having my previous Type 1 forehead redone to a Type 3. I had a Skype consult with Spiegel, and he quoted $13K, and then I found Mardirossian's site and had a Skype consult with him - $6.3K!

From what I could find, it looks like he trained with Spiegel, and they performed surgeries together starting in 2007 and coauthored papers on FFS (he just recently started his practice in Florida). I asked what his experience was with the Type 3 forehead work, and he said that he has performed many of them since 2007, both with Spiegel and by himself.

Has anyone heard anything more about him?

I have of him too.  I contacted him via his webpage, but never heard back from him.  His credentials appears good, I found at least one paper he coauthored with Spiegel.  "Implants and Skeletal Modifications".

However, since I did not hear back from him I did not follow up.  I figure I am the customer, I should not have to chase a surgeon to get him to reply.

An update.

I did finally get a follow-up contact.  Then had a Skype consultation this past week.  Yep, forehead work seemed very reasonable, however as I'm in my mid-50s, 30 year post transition I need more than just forehead work.  Lots of years playing sports and working on the farm has caused skin damage.

I have another Skype consult scheduled in the next couple weeks.
