where is the clasp on your bra
Option 1: front hook

Option 2: back hook

Just curious where is the hook in the front between the cups or the back. I stopped using the ones in the back because its too much of a challenge to bend my arms back there. I find the front hooks so much easier. the only problem is variety
My bra requirements (I need them fairly padded with a very small band) are very stringent so I take whatever I can. I've only ever worn bras that clasp in the back, but I clasp it in the front and then spin my bra around.
both ;D
I got my very first bra yesterday! It closes in the back, 'cause I'm an odd-sized lady and need extenders. Like chloe, I close it up front & spin it around. Amusingly, my wife was excited to learn a new way of putting on a bra. ;D
there's a lot more variety with both, I think I just got lazy . I hate waiting for my skin to completely dry before I could turn the bra around.
Most of my bras are back claps, but I also have some Bandeau Padded Racerback Bras like these:

That are very comfortable and they even make strapless versions that work well with camisoles without a built in bra. I found some similar to the one pictured at Target and Amazon.com
Both. I found the front-closure racerback I used to have to be very co fortsble and I liked that the straps never slipped down with the racerback style. But there are lots more varieties in the standard back-closure so I have a number of those.

I have both. Yes. The frontal hook is more convenient, but it is sometimes broken.

All hook in back, if reaching back is tough, just wrap the bra above your waist with the hooks in front. Hook them then rotate it around to the back, pull the bra up to the right level then put arms through and pull the straps up. Works well for me. I have to do it this way cause of several pretty bad rotator cuff surgeries. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places yet but finding something that is sexy, lacy, and what I like, I cannot find as a front hook. Dani
no that seems to be the problem the front hooks as far as I found are just the plain bras
Today mine are all back fastening, mainly through choice, but I must admit that front fastening tended to have a little more uplift capabilities..., whereas front have a better fit option 8)
Happy with either tho...

Well, all of mine are currently back hook but I have had front hook ones too. No real opinion, though.

I have both, most are back clasp though as there tends to be more variety of them where I shop for bras
I mainly use the ones from the back. I have many of those in lots of colors / styles. I got a few that hook from the front but have had comfort issues with them.
All my current ones hook from the back. The bra in my "Transgender Teenager Survival Kit" had a front clasp, so I'm familiar with them and don't really have a preference. I don't have any issues with my arms reaching around to hook in the back, but the 3-hook ones took me a little practice to figure out the best way to connect each hook without undoing another hook.
Both. :) My daily bras hook in the back, but I have some fancy ones and also pushup bras that are front hook.
I used to hook in front and then flip it around to the back, though... I've gotten so I can do it in back now, but the "hook and spin" method is common enough that cis women recommended it.

I do that aswell.
I have both types but the only one I wear regularly is front clasp because it happens to be by far the most comfortable. It's a bonus that it's super-easy to hook and release. Maybe it's just this particular bra but I find that the inward tug of pulling the front-clasp together is automatically much better at pushing my breasts up and inward without a lot of manual scooping and adjusting. The rear-hook design feels more like it mashes my chest and tugs it outward while being far less comfortable in the rear-section of the band. I wear whichever version allows the straps to hide best depending on the clothes.

The bra in my "Transgender Teenager Survival Kit"
Wow, how times have changed. I just cannot imagine how things may have turned out for me had I ran across this back in the 60's

It's basically the box that I had when I was a teenager that I kept all my girl stuff in. I suspect most of us that knew we were transgender as teenagers had something similar. I've been jokingly calling it my "Transgender Teenager Survival Kit" as a play on the "Zombie Apocalypse Survival Kits" that are being sold now.
On a serious note, I have been contemplating making these for local transgender teens who are unable to acquire things like makeup, clothes, intimates, and hair accessories on their own (and the male equivalents for FtMs).
Back clasp. I don't really like front closing ones.
I chose back. I always put it on backwards and clip it in front, then swivel it to the back and put the straps on, so it's not really an issue. My ex girlfriend did it the same way, so I'm not the only one that does this.
the reason I like them better is because my joints are arthritic and it a challenge to get my arms back there and as far as turning them around , I put them on after a shower and my skin has to be really dry to turn it around my body and sometimes that takes awhile , so I go with the front ones. It can be fun turning them around they're soft against the skin , but I'm getting lazy from old age. of course some of the really lacy and pretty one clip in the back. It can be fun getting your arms limber and hooking from the back.
From the back, it took some practice, like everything.. now I can hook the bra on without needing to spin the bra around.
Majority of bra's clip from the back, but a few of my strapless bra clip from the front..
Re: DrummerGirl
Those 3 hook bras was a challenge to learn.. and I actually wear those types a lot.
Back hooks for me. I have no problems attaching the hooks in the back either. In fact it is more of a pain in the ass to clasp in the front and spin it around.
Having said that, I wear camis instead of bras now. ;D
Mine fasten in the back, no problem. Like others have said though, you can always fasten it in the front and then turn it around.

i have both but i think i prefer front close; it's easier to put on :)
Mine all hook in the back. I prefer them to the front ones. I think they're more adjustable.
I have one front hook bra, I haven't worn it in probably 8 years. I like back hook cause they're more adjustable and there's nothing poking between my boobs.
And I just sneezed on my laptop screen. Lots of little blobs of snot. Not pretty and I'm gonna go clean it off now I think. Just thought I would throw that in for free...
thanks for the info, I was thinking lunch , but maybe I'll try to loose a pound and wait for dinner
back hook, tis annoying struggling with it in the morning, when I have almost zero hand coordination.
