Today, things that simple words can only do so much to explain happened, but I will try my best.
-
It is the one of most terrifying things everyone who is a member of the LGBT community has to do eventually. Today I "came out of the closet". As my hand shook uncontrollably I pressed the send button of a message addressed to my whole family revealing that I am transsexual.
-
Pressing that button was the hardest, most terrifying, and.... best decision I have ever made.
-
None of my family members rejected me and no one responded with hatred. The response from family were all of support and love. My bond with the family not only stayed intact, it got stronger.
-
As for me, the shroud of lies that I hid myself behind for 22 years has finally dispersed. I am free to fulfill my dreams unhindered, without regret, and... without losing anybody. I am finally smiling and the tears running down my face right now are tears of joy, I haven't felt those in a long time.
That's wonderful! Coming out was a very brave thing to do, and it's great to hear your family were all so supportive! :)
aw yay that's awesome news! :D I'm so glad you were met with such a positive response. ^_^
Big hug! Good for you! :) I typed, pressed send immediately, then started shaking! Same outcome, though.
Hugs, Devlyn

Yea the shaking got worse afterwards because of the anticipation of recieving reponses and what they might say!
I am very happy for you.
