"Star Trek's Alice Eve has been accused of bigotry over an online rant about how Bruce Jenner, the former Olympian turned reality TV star who is going through gender transition, is 'playing' at being a woman."
"The actress, who played Carol Marcus in 'Star Trek Into Darkness' and is the daughter of actor Trevor Eve, made the comments on her Instagram page."
Oh...good at least it wasn't someone who is memorable from Star Trek...oh like Marina Sirtis or George Takei.
Offensive is offensive no matter who says it.
Hugs, Devlyn
True...But now I will no longer watch her performances
I hope they don't take away my trans card, but I think her apology was classy. She could have issued a non-apology ("If I've offended anyone, blah, blah, blah"), but instead she chose to acknowledge our struggle.
I don't favor piling on someone who says something ill-informed and then corrects themselves when they are better informed.
ahh well that makes sense, then I did not read where she made an apology.
*ahh i see it now*
I think she was just offended at first, so adamant about her stance on equality for women, that she perhaps was unable to see Jenner's point right away.
