Title: first steps
Post by: WildThing on May 03, 2015, 09:48:59 PM
So I came out to pretty much everyone on Facebook, then told my mom with my "Dear Samantha" letter. I've started to train my baritone male voice into a bit of a higher pitch, and I went out to buy my first pair of big girl panties! It went well, I didn't really feel any anxiety, even in full cismale mode. I tried them on...my god, I wish I would've realized sooner! The thing is, tomorrow I have to go back to work in cismale mode, and it sucks. Also I regret shaving my head at ALL! It's gonna take forever to grow back and out. I could go with a pixie cut for the time being though.

I also don't want to bludgeon myself with a bat every time I look in the mirror now. It's a "work in progress," not a "stupid, ugly, male shell" anymore. Yay progress!

What were your first steps? How did you deal with them?

Congrats on coming out. I'm sure that is relief to have accomplished. I know it was for me. I know it's amazing how woman's clothing feels compared to men's. Getting my ears pierced along with coming out a couple of friends, my mom and brother were early steps. Panties and other articles of clothing where not long after that.

Not out yet fully for me...

But sooo agree with womens clothing... Soft, delicate and just fits so much better! Welcome to your new wardrobe....

Also remember that in male mode no one has to see your underwear or that your legs are shaved. I've shaved everywhere but my forearms for almost a year. The forearms will likely go this or next week.

yeah I could kick myself every day for not wearing female undergarments sooner I'm full time now but I did have a break in period where I wore undergarments under my cis clothes. I also shaved my legs ect. which helped.

Kept my body hairfree and Eyebrows shaped, as well as female under garments for longer than i can remember... Well before HRT!

Your posting that reminded me of something other than facial hair I had kept the rest of the body hair off a good year before full time. Then the facial hair went once I realized what I had to do.
