Title: Gay marriage halted in Iowa after 2 men married

Gay marriages were legal from about 2:30pm on Thursday until about 12:30pm on Friday. In that time 27 same-sex couples had filed applications, but only Fritz and McQuillan of Ames had made it official by getting married and returning the signed license to the courthouse in time.

Sounds like the battle in Oregon all over again.

It will get ugly before it gets better.
