Hello! My name is Travis and I am 14 years old. I have currently been on lupron(hormone blocker) since the first week of December. June 6th would be 6 months of lupron. I am meeting my endo in June to see how I'm doing and I am going to ask if I could be on T. There is a legit chance he will prescribe it to me. But, that is not exactly my main reasoning for this topic.
I am currently 5'1, I started (female) puberty around the age of 11, and I have not had my major growth spurt. I was wondering how tall I could possibly be when I'm done growing. When using the height predictor, it said I would be 5'8-5'9. Of course, I'm using the male option of the predictor because when I start hormones, I'll be growing/etc as a male. I wish to be at least 5'9... Is there a possibility?
If it helps, my dad is 5'7 and my mom was 5'5-5'6. My brother was suppose to be 5'8, but he ended up being over 6'0. He could've been taller but he died a few years back so.. yeah. My other brother was suppose to be 5'8 as well, but he ended up being 5'10.5. (Only me and my brother that died had the same dad. We didn't have the same mother though. My brother thats still alive, we have the same mother) My uncle is 6'0. My grandfather was also 6'0. On my mom's side, all the men are at least 5'10. I'm not sure about my dad's side though. All in all, the men in my family (both sides) ended up being over 5'10 so there could be a chance with me right?
Also, for about 2+ months now, I have been going to the gym consecutively. I plan on doing this forever lol. I'm 5'1, I weight 130 pounds(muscle and I haven't had my growth spurt so nothing has stretched)
Please give me your honest opinion O: Also, don't talk about how it's "impossible" or whatever to get on T at my age. My therapist would give me a letter, I've been diagnosed with GID, etc etc so yes it's completely possible. So.. yeah. Please tell me the possibility (percentages maybe?) of being tall DX
Anything is possible, genetics seem to have a mind of it's own when it comes to actual outcome.
Hi Travis, Welcome to Susan's. I'm no doctor but as long as the growth plates are not sealed over it's possible. I look forward to seeing you around the site. Good luck and Hugs.

Hey Dash
Welcome to Susan's :) Great to have you here - looking forward to seeing you around the forum.
As LordKAT says, it's hard to know, there are so many factors at play. You may gain additional height...I was the tallest kid in my class at your age, four years later there were several guys as tall and taller than me.
Cheers
Grace
Welcome to Susan's.
I have no idea how HRT and growth is effected. It is a great question for your endo.
I do know the T is a weak growth plate fuser and E is a strong growth plate fuser. When it happens and add in cross hormone therapy and genetics then I think a real expert is needed.
Cis or trans, no one can tell how tall you'll grow.
Fortunately the body can only grow so tall, but the size of your spirit is limitless.

I don't think so.. I haven't had a growth spurt since before I was 10. I have been growing averagely since I have been recording my height (when I was 10 years old)

I hope my body can grow tall :/
My dad is 5'5" and mom is slightly shorter. My younger brother is 5'10" and my youngest is about that too but he has a different dad. I was 5'7" before I started (MTF) transition. So you can't even predict with genetics. It's like a lottery.
Food might play a role. You might eat healthy.
I'd avoid carbonated drinks and artificial stuff.
I'd say just give it time.
