If you go to Google and type in "Transgenders are" the stuff that comes up in the little drop down box are "Transgenders are freaks" "Transgenders are sick" "Transgenders are gross", and then, if you go the informal route and type in "transgender are" It comes up with "Transgender are gay", "transgender are gross" "transgender are mentally ill". I can't even put into words how much this pisses me off (excuse the language)
Yes, a sad reflection of how dumbass ignorant most people are... for an antidote type in "transgenders are awe" and see what pops up! :)
I think the first thing that trans*people need to do is to forget about the haters. They are not worth even thinking off. Never ever let them upset you or disturb you. They are not worth the thought.
Yes, having that much hate in them must be so corrosive - it's sad.
There anger isn't worth the time of day anytime we give it the time of day we are only fueling to serve more and giving them what they want. I wouldn't pay any attention to it. I know that it is disturbing seeing what pops up in the search box, but much of that is do to ignorance of the misinformed. Hugs

Instant communication is nice, but we pay a price for it. Anyone can say anything they want. Remember that you have an option whether to read something or not. Repying to hateful messages only fuels the person who wrote the original message to write more hate. By refusing to read what they have written, you are silently disagreeing with their hate.

Agreed, I really don't gravitate to distasteful sites, and cringe in horror when I hear for people talking about the sites or of anybody in a derogatory fashion...
Definitely ignoramuses'!

I remember back before there was such a feature, there was a website that you could go to and it would show you what people were searching. One time some buddies of mine on another forum were talking about it, and scrolling up on the list was "Bee Sting Penis Enlargement"
To this day, I don't know whether one of the guys was trolling us and typed that in just to get a reaction, or whether it was a legitimate search.
Honestly, I'm more concerned about searches like, 'How to make AMFO..' or 'How to make napalm.' or 'How do I make a bomb?'.. Those are more scary than some narrow minded douchenozzles.

That could work. I gotta do something, though.
I had to beat the crap out of this chipmunk chick for picking on Portia. Now, she's got a whole friggin' brigade after me.
Sadly the internet is a loud reflection of the insecurities of brainwashed and not properly raised individuals :/. I do my best to ignore it all and I am thankful that where I live, it's not such a loud and vocal spout of hatred (though there's always someplace that houses it in frequency). I guess you could call it ignoring it and creating a bubble, but I do not give attention to such idiotism unless it is directed to my face or to someone else and I'm within the vicinity. Thankfully there are plenty of safe places in the internet (like Susan's!).
It's amazing to me the lengths they go to identify us. How to spot trans anything is a pretty popular search.
Tried some searching myself as well, and though a lot of offensive I couldn't help but laugh at some like;
"Are transgenders real?"
"Are transgenders straight?"
"Is transgender a choice"
"Why would god make transgender"
"Why would someone be transgender"
Naturally the answers to these questions are easy for us to answer but it is mind boggling nonetheless that people are so confused or frustrated about the subject that they find it's worth googling, so often even that these are the top results, which clearly depicts that a lot of people have no idea what transgender is or means.
I don't much like being transgender, but I'd rather be transgender than the kind of person that types that stuff in.
Guys lets face it. People hear a lot about transgender people. If you have never been around transgender people it is natural to question that state. All people need is education. If we educate them they will no longer wonder about us. It used to be the same with gay people. People used to think they are mentally ill, freaks... Nowadays everybody knows being gay is normal. It's the same about transsexuality. In 20 years nobody will be asking those questions. So don't get upset with the haters. They are just uneducated.

It's actually quite pathetic that some people waste their lives typing their bigoted opinions into google. I certainly wouldn't spend my precious free time like that. Sad.
One of the prices we pay for having instant communication and a world wide web is that there will be good and bad information out there. Anyone can put up a web site or make comments. That doesn't make them true. We are a country that values free speech, although I wouldn't advise writing that you are a terrorist, lol.
Most people recognize hate when they see it. There are people who don't agree with how we live our lives or that someone with xx chormosomes could really be a man or that someone with xy chromosomes could really be a woman, but they keep it to themselves.
Unfortunately trying to educate individuals who write so hatefully only fuels their feelings and gives them attention that they don't deserve. It can be scary, and what is worse is that there are others who don't write it, they act on it. Still, ignore the haters and don't give them the satisfaction of knowing people are reading their crap.
