Hi, I'm new here. I'm not entirely sure who/what I am. I know no one can tell me except myself but I have no freaking idea which is why I feel the need to ask. When I was a little boy, I was always different, always in dresses, makeup, and playing with barbies, I often imagined being a little girl instead of a little boy. I remember watching Priscilla queen of the desert when I was five and immediately went to my mother and told her I was going to become a girl when I grow up. once I was in primary school around year 3 I started getting bullied for being feminine, so I repressed it. A few years later (around 13) I came out as gay. At 16 and 6'2ft I recruited by a modeling agent, which lead me to leave school and have the career I'm currently in and if I transition I will not be able to continue this work, I dont have any other job experiences and didn't complete high school. For the last few months its been on my mind everyday, I cant stop thinking about it, sometimes I cant even sleep. I want to transition but dont know if I'm trans, worried I'll lose my mother, boyfriend and his family, job. And my height and shoulder span is frightening lol (6'4 now). Any replies would be appreciated.
Hi gotasecret, Welcome to Susan's. This is a great start coming her, but a therapist in addition tot his would be of great benefit to you. Your right know one can tell your trans except you. I wish you the best of luck and I look forward to seeing you around the site. Good luck and Hugs
Mariah

Hi,
As Mariah said a therapist is a good starting point. Your life story is very similar to so many others so don't worry. You are among family now and we do understand.
I wouldn't get phased by being tall, many tall girls here and stunning they are!
Maybe have a look through the before and after thread and you will see amazing changes!
Welcome, sit down and enjoy being here
Welcome to Susan's Gotasecret
You'll be able to relate to many life stories here, however as stated before if you are doubting or challenging who you are then seeing a gender therapist/counsellor will help you figure yourself out. But as you will see/have read on the forum that many people have and do question their gender for various periods of time... Weighing up all the pros and cons (family, career etc)
The other thing I'll add is that the Gender fight within you will keep coming until you are in control, one way or the other, for most of us, each time it comes its stronger than the last until we are pushed to to take it on and transition, and in that situation its better sooner in life than later... I stumbled into later!
Anyway welcome and look forward to seeing you about

Thank you all for your support, will be getting intouch with a gender therapist. Guess I have alot of finding myself to do. Thanks again.
Hi gotasecret,
I though female models are 6'3 or 4"?
I understand your apprehension. A gender therapist is a good start.
Something to consider, Cisgender people do not question their gender. Nor does the their gender/sex difference cause them anguish and pain.
Welcome to Susan's.
