Title: Very tiny steps
Post by: MichelleZelda on May 12, 2015, 03:21:32 PM
I've taken one and am in the process of finishing a second step in moving forward.

I bought some (2 pairs of) women's jeans that are more my style than most of what I have, I understand that's a small victory but I put the one pair that hug the hips better, and immediately felt like I needed to get them.

I am also dropping a huge but unclear hint by dying my hair rainbow for the summer...

Not planning on coming out but just kinda putting some stuff out there as to not shock people

That's good. I could learn to make more small steps too.
I like the rainbow hair idea :)

Yeah all through high school it was black and I kinda looked like an emo kid who cooked his hair off...

The longest journeys can be finished with the smallest of steps.  Moving forward is so much better than standing still  ;D

I only take small steps. I try and take one every day. That way, when a big one comes it just feels like the small steps. Plus I love every moment of this, even wearing eyeshadow to work the first time was a momentous day. Love every moment of becoming you!

Baby steps are the best way; it kind of softens the blow if you leave people a little trail of trans breadcrumbs to follow because then they can kind of start to figure it out on their own.  Congratulations on finding some nice jeans though!!!  Don't you just love the way they hug your curves?

If you want some additional tiny steps, look for sport shoes for girls. With a sufficiently neutral color (ex: black), you will know you are wearing woman clothes from the waist down, while no one but the sneakers heads will.

It did help my dysphoria for a while, until I was ready to take more actions.

Its whatever works best for you...

I have taken baby steps... probably too small, my changes have gone un-noticed, on the whole, so later it will be a massive leap  >:-)

Good luck with your progression by the way  :-*
