Hi everyone,
Exciting news! After a pretty rough two weeks, I've finally made an appointment with a gender therapist.
I've been trying to take things slow so far, but it feels great to make some progress.
Anyone have any tips, do's or don't's, or advice in general for a 1st visit?
Thanks
Congrats on the appoint. My advice is be yourself and be open and honest with them. Doing the opposite serves no purpose and wont' help you towards your transition goals. Good luck and Hugs

I just started therapy myself, definitely go with what Mariah is saying. Just talking with someone honestly is a big help. Good luck on your journey.

Thank you for the good vibes.

I think it will go well. After talking to her a few times (email address issues lol) she seems like a good fit. It's so awesome being able to finally reach out. Appt is in two weeks. I'll post back on how it went.
Thanks

Be yourself, be honest and be ready with your emotions if you go through your life story..
Good luck, be thinking of you :-* :-*

Thank you, I named her Betty, she is the first guitar I owned. The waiting is the hardest part, for true though. Stay in touch.
