As someone on Facebook mentioned today 6 weeks till pride day any big plans for the event or just lying low.
Last year was my first pride parade (in West Hollywood) and somewhere along the way I got drafted and found myself marching down Santa Monica Blvd. holding a sign which is not at all what I expected to be doing  Nothing like starting out my first pride parade with a bang - It was a lot of fun though.
This year I think I'll probably be doing the same thing, marching with the same group (Aids Project LA) and then hanging out in the pavilion area afterward to hear the bands.
We had ours already :)
we've already had a couple of 100 degree days, if we waited any longer the tires on the floats would melt off ;D
I plan on actually getting there on time this year! ;D
Still dithering. Things are in flux and, unless I go completely out of stealth by then I don't think I should go.
My wife would flip if she knew I went so no way - but Chicago's Parade Rocks!
I actually don't go nor have the desire to go to pride parades. I know, I'm not turning my back, I just don't feel comfortable at stuff like this and don't think k will ever get over it so with this I say, go break a leg and have fun lol

There's also the whole GLBt ( yes, lower case intentional) thing. Until you're there you never know how the local gays and lesbians are going to react to you. I'm not sure a pride parade is the place to test those waters.
Anyone been to st.pete, fl pride? I'm trying to find something near me to celebrate! We have the memorial day weekend throw down on the beach here (panhandle). But I want more! Anyone?
There must be one in NYC but I'm not interested in going to those things.
Pride parade, no. (And the scheduling is different across the country - Boston's is in early June.) But I've walked in the Dyke March in Boston for 5-6 years now. :) It's super trans-friendly; there's actually "trans dyke" stickers and an active trans-ally contingent marching with supportive signs in addition to the trans people sprinkled throughout.
