Just wondering About to start a new job and have to take a drug test. Will estrogen levels show up on a drug test ?

i doubt it would since they wouldnt be checking for that. i think you could only find out if estrogen is in your blood through blood tests only

Only if they are looking for steroid abuse, such as for an athletic event.

Drug screens care about recreational drug use, not hormones. They used to be 5 panel, now I think the DOT standard is 7.

Only real exception to that is for things like athletic events as mentioned.

if its a piss test they send away to a really fancy lab, sometimes they test hormone's just to make sure you didn't use someone else's pee.  but that's rare. usually only probate court drug tests do that.

Drug screens check

DOT
-amphetamines and meth-amphetamines
-opiates (and metabolites of opiates)
-pcp
-extacy
-marijuana
-cocaine

Other non DOT drugs
-barbiturates
-benzodiazepines

Sports organizations will test for performance enhancing substances.

I handle the drug testing in my facility.

Having a prescription makes some of these drugs allowable even in DOT tests

If you're really concerned, I know where I work, they ask beforehand (on the consent form) if you're on any medications so that if they show up, they're expected and explained. If your new job has something like this, I don't think it'd hurt to jot it down. Even cis folks take supplementary hormones due to natural deficiencies, or if they've had reproductive organs removed for whatever reason.

If you're FTM anabolic steroids will show up but if you're mtf you're not taking that, so you'll be fine.
