Hi there
New to posting on boards but have been reading for a while. Found your posts so helpful in my education of mtf surgery and everything around it.
My girlfriend is concerned about some possible skin separation and I wondered if you could help us. She is 3 months post op from Thailand. In last few days she has noticed that when she gently spreads the labia it appears that the clitorial hood has separated from one side.
Is this normal? Any advice?
Thanks in advance
Freya
Doesn't sound normal. Can't she take a picture and send it to her surgeon to verify if that's normal? That's what I did whenever I have any concern with my results.

I don't know about the way it looks when the Thai surgeons do something, but it doesn't sound right. Can your friend take a picture and send it to the surgeon?
Add me as one more voice saying it doesn't sound normal and consult the surgeon. :) That said, 3 months post-op is very early yet, and sometimes separations do heal on their own if they're not severe, so it's not worth panicking over.

I'd have to agree with Jenna Marie :) The surgeon is the only one who can say if this is normal or if not what the best course of action is. I'd say worst case is she'll have to have a holiday in Thailand in a few months for a few new stitches to be out in and be really careful of infections in the meantime but things are still healing for 6 months at least after any surgery
Good Luck
